Kellie’s First Blog…Sketch Challenge…

Hi all,
Kellie has just been asked to be on the Design Team for Magnolia and Motivet and Stephanie the owner of Motivet is helping Kellie celebrate and is supporting her with this challenge, which you can find out by visiting Kellie’s First Blog…Sketch Challenge… (Congratulations and Well Done, what a fantastic achievement!!!)

Finally got this finished, as soon as I saw Kellie's challenge, especially when she said you could use any stamp (thankyou), the brain went into overdrive, a Christmas Challenge, being a Pomme the Aussie weather at the moment makes it feel more like Christmas, than in December. Went to Leonie's on Saturday and she kindly let me stamp off some of her snow globe stamp set, which came in handy for this Challenge.

Apologies again took this tonight as by the time I get home from work the daylight has gone.

This is a close up of the snowman in the globe

Materials used are:
Stampin' Up Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Almost Amethyst Cardstock, dazzling diamond glitter (a small amount goes a long way, everywhere is sparkling now LOL), Versamark, the little snowflakes are whisper white card stock covered in dazzling diamond glitter and crystal effects.

Creative Memories Paper Frosty Splits

The snowflakes in the top right were Dress It Up Glitter Snowflakes with the loop removed.

For the main of the Snowman I used Stampendous fun flock.

The brad? and the ribbon I have to admit was used on a gift I received and it was too nice to through away (like a few in my ribbon collection) hopefully I am not the only one who collects items like this.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Happy Crafting and Take Care. X:)

45th Wedding Anniversary

Hi all, this is a card for some very good friends 45th Wedding Anniversary (sapphire) so have used blue bayou and soft sky for the card stock, ribbon and ink. I sponged the edge of the whisper white, embossed the greetings, used Chunky Crystals (Crystal Iris) for the fizz in the glasses and used Cheers (one of my favs) and Congrats Stamp Sets. Thanks for looking, Happy Crafting, Take CareX:)

Two Special Twin Girls 3rd Birthday

Hi all, hope you are having a great weekend, these are the cards I made for two special girls that are twins, I have created 'spinner cards' which Leonie showed us how to do at one off her workshops. I have used Lavender Lace, Pretty in Pink, Lovely Lilac and Pixie Pink, stamp set is Simply Summer (I know an old one but I just love the flowers). Lots of glitter with a tinkerbell
cut out. Glitter Pen to try and help tinkerbell stand out, Scallop Punch (new to me so it keeps appearing on my cards at the moment) and used my new versamark pen to put their names on. Thanks for looking, Happy Crafting, Take Care X:)

Hi all,

finally attempted my first colour challenge, from Color Throwdown, Challenge 49 or (CTD49),

colors to use are Groovy Guava, Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip, sad as I am I was quite excited as I had all these colors, and some idea half sprung to mind (using one of my fav sets) then whilst making I had the idea of the flower, (hawaii was in my head) anyway below is what I have done, I have embossed the 'Cheers for You', and used crystal effects on the drink and fruit, must say the flower was fiddly but fairly pleased with the result (its a start). Anyway bye for now, happy crafting, take care X:)

Sunrise/Sunset?

Hi again, another fab afternoon of stampin and blogging, I am making the most of it, because I will soon be back at work. The following card has been in my head forever, it is one of the reasons I bought 'Lovely as a Tree' and only today has it been created (took a while getting all the right gear) we have seen and made similar cards at Leonie's Workshops (will learn how to make that light up so you can connect to her blog). I love sunsets and this is what I have tried to create but I think it is more like a sunrise.

Firstly I Versamarked the stamp then used Night of Navy and the heat tool, which doesn't show up too much in the photo (will try again in daylight tomorrow) then used So Saffron, Summer Sun, Only Orange, Pixie Pink, Orchid Opulence (had to get some shade of purple in LOL), then Night of Navy, Bordering Blue, Ballet Blue & Brocade Blue for the Sky, finally Always Artichoke and Old Olive for the grass, this was done using sponges. Used Bright Orange and Night of Navy for the card stock, maybe I should have used Always Artichoke but wanted something Bright. Open to any suggestions on how to better this, from you experts out there.

Rosanna and Morgan are having another Xmas card making session and some real creative effort is being made as they want them to go on the blog, looks like I have more competition, may even have to set them up a blog of their own.

Thanks again for looking, take care and happy crafting X:)

Birthday Cards from Crafty Friends

Hi again, thought I should you show you some of the beautiful handmade cards I received from my stampin friends for my birthday, the first is from Sarah, who is responsible for me being an Stampin Up Fanatic, the photo does not do this card justice, absolutely beautiful and in Sarah's favourate colour 'pink'. This card is off my daughter which she made when Leonie came and did a demonstration at the house, this is Rosanna's version, Leonies had lots of glittery seaweed and no hidden shells, another beautiful card in my favourate colour, if you haven't already guessed. LOL

This one is off Emma again in my favourate colours and another beautiful card, we made this at one of Leonies Workshops, boy did we keep her busy that night, she gave us a choice of which cards we could make, she never sat down all night in between cutting and helping us, I am sure this was one of the first times I had done two stamping. I haven't parted with mine for obvious reasons, now I can.
Thankyou for my wonderful cards and thankyou for everyone that takes a look, take care, happy crafting X:)

Family Stamping Session

Hi, what a fantastic afternoon/evening we had, I didn't get to make too many cards, as what I was wanting to use was being used or not where it should be, it was fun working with Rosanna and Morgan, they both have their own ideas, Morgan did some wonderful sponging, Rosanna did some beautiful colouring with the water colour pencils, then using the blender pen, Morgan had decided to become camera shy all of a sudden! We didn't get to keep Morgan to long electronics was calling, no competition, LOL.
Here they are in action.

Princess Rosanna for the day

Yes he is under there somewhere!

Rosanna made the above and immediate cards below, with the above one she used some metallix card I had, so the stamp hasn't worked as good, and my photography doesn't help, but a great idea! Rosanna was on a mission and made 21 cards, which included a lot of thank you cards in anticipation of what she might get for her birthday and Chrismas.

These two are Morgan's creations he only managed to make three, but did put a lot of effort into
the colouring and sponging, se well done to Morgan as he has this idea it is really a girly thing and I say no way! I have seen some beautiful cross stitching done by men and I am sure there must be some card makers too, not just found any of their blogs yet!

Did a stupid thing and dropped the camera last night, Morgan and I collided whilst trying to take pictures, boy was I sick I had only been saying earlier to keep the strap on (should practice more of what I preach), anyway the lense won't go back in, the camera shop said probably more expensive to fix than buy a new one, we are going away at the weekend so a new camera had to be bought (old one only 6 months old), anyway another lesson learned. Here they are hard at work.

Bye for now and thanks for looking in, take care and happy crafting whatever it maybe X:)
