MDU25, MMSC25, SSCC10, SSS, SSHP5 & FBW#81

Hi all, What a busy day, but managed to get away from work, sweetly smiling at hubby, Yes he took the children and dog to the beach, I put the bird outside, bliss no noise, so got to play for a couple of hours, so wanted to have a go a chalking after Guest Design Diva Linda did a tutorial on 'How to Chalk an Image'. Got to say my pastels from my SU Kit were still wrapped as I didn't know how to use them so thank you Linda! Though must say still need to practice but fairly pleased with my first attempt.
Got hubby to take the first picture while we still had daylight as I had halloween to do with the children, wasn't till I came to load realised he has missed off my stressing! How stressing is that! So took another picture posted both as the colour changes from Purple to Blue. Managed to cover six challenges with this card named in order of finding challenges, first Magnolia Down Under Challenge#25 stressing had to be used in your project, second Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #25 as shown below:

The third, Stampin Sisters in Christ #10, to make a card that expresses your thankfulness for someone or something they have done, or that encourages someone to be thankful, my sentiment is inside, I had a go at writing it myself as I didn't have a stamp that said what I wanted to say (this is below) as you can see I need more practise in that area too, keep telling hubby I shall have to give up work, not going for it though lol!
Fourth, Flutter By Wednesday #81, to create a card with a butterfly or fairy on it, Fifth, Simon Says Challenge, All that Sparkles, so add glitter, pearls, ribbons, stickles (which I just got today), first time for this challenge. Final Challenge just discovered today thanks to Chris, went to leave a comment on her lovely projects and found this challenge Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential #5 - In so many words, to use words within your project.

Recipe: SU Cardstock Lovely Lilac, Whisper White and pastels. Sponged the edges of the cardstock on the front
My new Stickles - Purple
Kayaz handmade paper (the circles) so pleased when I found this as I don't have a cuttlebug/big kick. Yet LOL
The ribbons, embellishments out of my stash.

Many thanks for looking, have a great weekend, happy crafting and take careX:)

Inky Impressions #20, Flutter By Wednesday #80 and Just for Girls #4

Hi all, at last a card has been made, yippee, just a very quick post, first challenge Inky Impressions #20 using the sketch below, the second challenge for Flutter By Wednesday #80 which is have a fairy, angel or butterfly, and the final challenge Just us Girls #4 to use a layered flower. I have used one of my new Inky Impression Stamp 'Fairy Lili' these stamps are just adorable. I have been practising with my Touch Markers, limited colours so her wings just look at tad bright, so more markers on the Xmas List! Which just keeps getting longer, hope Santa has me on his Good Girl List! Just noticed the ribbon does not look too straight, must be the sentiment weighing it down LOL! The layer flowered is using Kaisercraft flowers and brads from their new range.

Thanks for looking, happy crafting, take careX:)

MMSC23, Flutter by Wednesday #79 and Creatalicious Challenge 3

Sorry the sun came out briefly after work but still couldn't get my fairy to look Purple:(
Hi all, first apologies this beautiful Holly Fairy (Mo's Digitals) is definately PURPLE not blue, I have tried every room in the house to try and get a correct photo, will try again tomorrow but needed to post tonight to meet my deadline on Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 23 which is the sketch to the right and don't forget about their Halloween/Fall Blog Hop tomorrow. The second challenge is Flutter by Wednesday #79 to create a card and have a fairy or butterfly on it and third is Bizzy Becs - Creatalicious Challenge 3, to use scrap DP paper, new cardstock and to make your own flower, couldn't believe my luck, so 3 in 1 challenges. At the bottom of this post is one of my original flowers which I have tried to do after watching Priscillas tutorial many times this was my second attempt, didn't set fire to as many this time but must warn you don't concentrate on the flower too much that you forget how far up the match the flame has got, hubby thought it a little risky! I rather think he was more bothered about me burning the table than my fingers (got to say got a little bit of a reputation, but thats another story though does involve candles!) Anyway the flower did not look right so this is my other attempt at a flower which I was shown how to do by Debbie P, who was shown by Kellie, (at stamp camp) got to say I do need more practice.

Recipe: Stampin Up Cardstock and DP (from my scrapbox), ribbons from my stash and must say the patterned ribbon came on a Christmas Present last year (so thats definately recylcling), just can't help myself, probably why my ribbon box is overflowing! Special Effects for the wings, Snowglobe and Flower.

This was my original flower, sorry Priscilla I do not do your tutorial justice but shall work on it! It turned out too big and the other just didn't look right.
Will be back tommorow with much better photos (fingers crossed as we have had a lot of rain), thanks for looking, happy crafting, take careX:)

Inky Impressions Challenge 17

Hi all, Postie brought me some goodies last week, Yes Inky Impression Stamps, Inky Impression Shop so been wanting some of these for ages, Debbie P's fault, she keeps creating with all these beautiful stamps/images. Hubby dreads it when I mention her name now, because he is sure it will involve parting with some money LOL! So I entered Inky Impressions Challenge 17 which was to make a gift using an Inky Impression Stamp, only just it made on time, then when trying to put it on my blog the computer decided it would play up and not give me internet connection, someone, somewhere was definately testing my patients!!

Anyway so I have used Lili's awareness ribbon stamp and made this photo album for my mum in law who is going to be 85.

Lili has a slight rash on her arm, nothing to do with my colouring skills LOL!

Cardstock, dsp and stamp images - Stampin up, ribbons etc from my stash.
Hope the above makes sense as it was typed in a rush and people are wanting feeding.
Thanks for looking, happy crafting, take careX:)

Anya Ink's 1st Challenge and MMSC21

Hi all, just a quick one, while Rosanna and hubby are busy making a ant colony (one of her birthday pressies).

This post is combining two challenges, MMSC21 which is to use the sketch below and Anya Ink's 1st Challenge, which is a colour challenge using Pink, Brown and Cream or White if needed, also to use a Greetings Farm Image. I wanted to make a card for my mum-in-law who is going to be 85 on Sunday, I also wanted to use a picture took recently, of her one of her great grandchild and two grandchildren. So to keep in with the Anya colour challenge I took a picture of the card before I attached the photo.

and this is the finished card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge with the photo on, can't believe how different the colours look.

I have used all Stampin Up card stock and DSP, (not comfortable using brown, so quite a challenge), the brads from my stash and the stamped Anya from a friend.

The Anya image is coloured in using my Brand New Touch Twin Markers, yes I spoilt myself, (couldn't wait till Xmas) after picking my lovely new friends Debbie P brains for advise, thankyou very much, just love them, just need to get some more colours for the skin tone, hair, purples etc, plus lots more practice colouring, to get anywhere near the standard of you pros out there, You Know Who You Are! Used my SU marker and blender pen for the skin tone and wings then added Kindy Klitz for the wings.

I am so excited I have won Blog Candy

Hi all, I am one very excited, happy on top of cloud nine girl today, what a fantastic start to the week I have been very lucky and won the blog candy below, I am finally going to have some of my own Magnolia stamps as well as some fantastic embellishments ribbons etc. Nearly spilt my coffee in my excitment when I read I had won . This was Marcia's blogaversary candy she also owns The Stamp Spot where lots of goodies can be bought from stamps (The Greeting Farm, Inky Impressions etc), ribbons, embellishments, papers etc.

It's Rosanna's 12th birthday, last year before she is a teenager, so we are celebrating with pancakes, yep thats what she wants me to make I also think she is after trying to toss the pancakes which might be allowed seeing as she is the birthday girl, hopefully not going to be too messy LOL. Hope to be back later with a card I have made.
