Sneak Peak for Doodle Palace - 'Painting Eggs'

Hi all, very quick post as should be on my way out the door, totally got my days mixed up seem to have lost a day, thats what having the children off school does to you LOL! Couldn't get a good photo last night. Anyway today I would like to introduce to you 'Painting Eggs' this cute image is available from the Doodle Palace, how cute is this reminded me when we used to hard boil eggs with the children then Easter Weekend we used to go the Hoad Monument and there used to be loads of people letting the eggs roll down the hill trying to see whose would get to the bottom without being to bashed up, great fun!
Created two cards one each for Rosanna and Morgan, couldn't resist trying to colour a purple bunny, not sure if I got it right! I followed our sketch challenge from last week (which I missed lol). But this week our challenge is to have the colour black on your creation.

Originally I coloured in some eggs to use at the top and then thought it would be more fun to have proper chocolate!
Hope to be back tonight to catch up on the Inky Girls Blog Hop and see who got through to the first round in The Greeting Farm Contest.

Thanks for visiting, happy crafting, take careX:)

Codi Stylin from Polly Craft

Hi all, today I would like to show you this wonderful digi image from Tales from Polly Craft called 'Codi Stylin', she was one of the free images two weeks ago. I have been practising colouring again with my copics in purple of course lol! Trying to shadow/shade, this is my first attempt, I am fairly pleased with it. Had wanted a skull background paper but just didn't have any so decided to go slightly floral and plain, inspiration for the layout was taken from this weeks Midnight Madness Sketch #46, distressed all the edges.

Isn't she just gorgeous.

Basic Grey Papers (Wisteria), sentiment SU, ribbon, brad & charm from my stash)

Butterfly Easel Card?

Hi all, what a busy week, had to work full time this week, must be getting old because I just seemed so tired, certainly makes a difference to crafting, anyway, shopped, caught up on washing (just got distracted from the ironing lol) done a little cleaning and had a play in between helping Rosanna, then did more cleaning lol as Rosanna made tea tonight shepherds/cottage pie and rhubarb crumble (rhubarb from our garden) you really don't want to know what the kitchen looked like!! The food was very good though! Also apologies to my blogging friends if I have missed leaving you a comment.

Back to crafting, been having a play/experiment with my copics and coloured one of my fav Inky Girls 'Fairy Lili', now I am calling this a Butterfly Easel Card, but I stand to be corrected if it should be called something else as I had this idea in my head. Template is from 'My time made easy' which I bought some time ago and changed how I used it. Postie delivered three beautiful Martha Stewart punchies to me this week so couldn't wait to use them the first being the Monarch Butterfly, which I punched onto different card cardstock used glimmermist and Dazzling diamonds on the left butterfly and orange kindyglitz on the orange butterfly and embellishments for the body. The second was the Butterfly Border punch, couldn't fit the border in this creation but used the little butterflies it punches out, some are sponged Rose Red others are cut from Rose Red Card Stock.Isn't she just gorgeous used Dazzling Diamonds on her wings

This is a part side view used my SU border punch to make two supports.

Have used various brads from my stash and used Sequin Glitz around the outside edge of the butterfly, as you can imagine I am a very sparkly girl at the moment lol!
Edited to add a photo of easel card lying flat
The hello stamp was sent to me by my lovely crafting friend Angela. This is my Inky Impressions March Mingle Card, have posted as my mingle partner doesn't follow me but apologies if you do see before you receive.

BUTTERNUT SAGE CONTEST $100.00 & M & M's

Hi All, Quick post as it is DH's Birthday and still got things to do!! Donna over at Butternut Sage is hosting a contest where she has asked that you create a card using her style. How pretty does the $100 note look nestled with M & M's then wrapped in beautiful ribbon!

Now Donna's creations have a unique style of their own, I think it is elegant, crisp, simple (in the nicest way) and not fussy, which makes them very striking! There is usually some sort of embossing too! She also does some fantastic tutorials!! One of my favourate cards is using the Forest Friends Stamp Sets, this is more or less copied except for the different embossed background (thanks Debbie, my stamp camp buddy) my birthday is in a few months so have been dropping many hints to DH for Big Shot, keep your fingers crossed! Then I used special effects on Rudolph's nose.

The second is a frame fold card, tutorial here, now have changed this one as needed a bigger frame which then didn't leave much room on the card, but I wanted to use this stamp from the SU Close to Nature, originally I used special effects on the white areas of the cone to highlight the snow but ended up with brown snow lol, may try my flower flock! All dsp/papers etc are SU. Thanks Donna I have now started my Christmas cards.
Please take a visit to Butternut Sage, make sure you have a cuppa tea, coffee or a glass of wine depending what time you visit lol!
Edited sorry looks a little messed up was perfect in the preview, had the two rudolphs side by side, this is the best I can do without losing something, very frustrating!!! Just seen the time too off to the bus stop to pick R & M up. Then its party time for DH, nothing too wild there will only be the four of us lol! See you tomorrow with my Doodle Palace Sneak Peak.

My First Sweet Pea Creation

Hi all, where does the time go, not had much time for crafting this week, had a lovely family day out yesterday cycling at Lerderberg State Park, (butt a little tender today lol) but, finally got one of my Sweet Peas images coloured and there is no purple lol, do you know how difficult that is! Colour challenge at Sweet Peas is Pink, Green and Yellow and to have flowers. I have used Ching Chou Kuik's Black Rose Fairy, using my new copics I coloured the image then used Shimmerzpaints (Poinsettia Pink) forthe dress and wings then Diamond Stickles on the wings too. Also sponged using SU bashful blue and green galore to create a background, tried a few times using copics but didn't go light enough so a new list has started lol. Also used Glitz stickles sequins to sparkle the dress and special effects for face and roses. Flowers from Bizzy Becs (see side bar), leaf ribbon local craft shop.

Thanks for visiting, happy crafting, enjoy the rest of your weekend, take careX:)

Oh Alice Chapter 2, Flutter By Wednesday and more

Hi all, today I have followed the sketch over at 'Oh Alice' I have used 'Tilly on a Mushroom' had a for a bit and thought how appropriate she would be for this sketch. DSP is Kasiercraft Lilac Avenue with some of the embellishments, just loooove these papers. Tilly is coloured using some of my new Copics, YES I finally got some copics now I just need more practice in using them oh and more Copics LOL! Used Special effects on the mushrooms and Distress Stickles Orange and Champagne on the flowers in Tilly's hair. Don't know why but she had it in my head for purple hair was darker but I toned it down some.

Personally challenged myself to make a small card, this is 11.3cm (4.5") x 8.5cm (3 3/8"), don't ask why just something I had to do lol!

SNEAK PEAK Doodle Palace

Hi all, it's Tuesday again and time for a peak at this weeks Digital Image from Doodle Palace, first we have Bear, Rabbit and Chicks, arent they just adorable, just had to have purple bear lol, you know how I struggle photographing purple hence not the best of pics, coloured using my touchmarkers and all dsp and card SU.

Secondly 'Where the Easter Bunny Lives' another cute bunny, materials as above. Couldn't resist the sentiment lol.
Please go check our my DT Doodle Princesses tommorow to see what wonderful creations they have come up with.

Not had much time for crafting, been getting frustrated, Rosanna wants to get more involved in challenges etc so have been setting up a blog for her, which has caused allsorts of problems with mine, you know me not being to computer literate. Only just got through most of the changes to mine (with hubbies help, when I could get it) and still not finished. Hopefully her first post will be soon, we ran out of time tonight, Morgan had his teacher/parent meeting and we decided to have a drive around Bacchus Marsh then had a lovely evening tea so been very spoilt tonight as meeting was everything we needed to hear. Lets hope it stays like that!!
Thanks for visiting, happy crafting, take careX:)
