First I would love to welcome my new followers, hopefully I have popped round, commented and followed you, though one or two of you I couldn't find a blog address, so please let me know so I can pay you a visit.
Now time for another Inky Challenge and our gorgeous Inkette Sandie set the challenge this fortnight to use Die Cuts, now for sometime I have wanted to make one of these fancy easel cards lol! Can't remember where I first seen one (could have been Merry) but, saved this link to a tutorial, check them out , there are many STUNNING creations.
I have used the gorgeous 'Lili's Birthday Cake' image and 'Make a Wish' sentiment available here coloured with Copics, Spica Glitter and added Special Effects and Glimmer Mist. My icing skills need a little more practice using the pearl pen lol!
Now I wanted to have flowers as this card is for a very special friend, who was our neighbour, when we bought our house together in England (her and DH have been out twice to visit us) she will be 70 in May and does flower demonstrations, those who have followed me for sometime know I struggle with flowers, so I got DH's opinion and he didn't like the flowers, he thought the blue too big and the brown didn't go and I was brave sending to someone who knows what to do with flowers lol! Now I like them, wanted to add a little more green but the leaves didn't look right, maybe some twirly green bits. But please tell me what you think, I would love you to be HONEST!
This is the card laying flat, I have added kindyglitz all around the edges
With the candles in the box
This is the card before I added the flowers and more icing lol!
SO WITH OR WITHOUT FLOWERS
Now pop over to the Challenge blog and see what gorgeous eye candy the Inspirational Inkettes have for you.
