Sea Shell Easel Card with Mermaid Anya and Mer Ian

Hi all, where does time go, don't know if it is just because I am getting older, I didn't think it was possible but this year is going by way faster than last year lol! Spent the weekend in the neglected garden, then worked and went to Morgan's Musical Concert last night, some very talented children it was lovely listening to them playing their individual instruments and solo and duet singers. Morgan is in the choir and is loving it! It really brings a smile to my face when I hear him singing away to himself (practising his notes).

Anyway this card is created for a lovely friend who loves water, she played water polo for many years (couldn't find a water polo digi), and loves the beach so I thought of Mer Ian (digi) then a quick visit to my TGF addict Emma borrowed Mermaid Anya (don't think there are too many she hasn't got), now those who visit me know I looove Easel cards and do try and find a different shape to make so today we have a Sea Shell (hope you all can recognise it! It did try to colour a sea background but I need lots more practice so I cheated and used some dsp I had. Which I sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Marshmallow, which I got yesterday (there is a wonderful craft shop up at Bacchus Marsh, so got a pass out from work a little earlier so I could visit before the concert) hehe. Just added the finishing touches nicely.

Both merpeople are feather blended which is our challenge over at Mad for Markers, you have until 30th May to enter, Sammi is giving a set of ciao markers to the winner, we would love to see your creations. It really is a gorgeous technique and Sammi has a tutorial for you to.

I decided to use Champagne stickles on Ian and used kindyglitz on both of the images, pink embellishments in Anya's hair. Distressed all the edges of the card, though difficult to see on the base. I left my sandpaper at work, but managed to find some sand in my craft cupboard, don't ask! I really don't like throwing anything away. The sea shells and charms etc are from my stash.

Copic Colours used: (available from Sammi here in Australia)
