TIME for Edward's Birthday Pressie

Hi all, hope you are all having fun, (must be if you are reading this as that means you are craft blogging lol), bought this Kaisercraft project last year and it got buried in the cupboard. Anyway DH's birthday next month and he is difficult to buy for as he always wants practical pressies, so thought this clock ideal. Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge this week is TIME and this project sprung to mind, the first photo is the rose Edward proposed with (which I have pressed and is in the front of our album). These are some wonderful memories over 13 years, so thought this represented time as well as the clock. DSP is blue and shades of gold and brown.

I had it that I wanted to have a clear clockface so for this I used acetate (not saying how many attempts I had lol) then heat embossed with gold powder (kindly lent off my crafting buddy Emma, great having a crafting friend 1 mins walk away, we just don't get together enough) as my silver didn't look right. Then I versamarked the edge and dipped in the powder to highlight the heart edge, fairly pleased with how it turned out in the end.

Definately need to learn caligraphy! All the hearts have dates or places/events etc. This is Edward's parents, his mum is still with us 85 years old. His dad unfortunately died some time ago due to Alzheimers which was a huge blessing in the end. He was a wonderful man greatly missed.
This is when we went canoeing down the Murray River last April, fantastic so peaceful, can't wait to go again.

Definately a messy project as the first dsp I cut out stuck in the wrong place (I used sticky strip orginally and once it stuck it stayed stuck lol) so took all that off and then used good old fashioned glue, forgot how messy/sticky that could be! Embossing wasn't to messy then the sponging was a little tricky with the hearts being so small. So this should qualify it for Tuesday Tagger's Challenge.

Well DH and Morgan are on their way home with tea (chinese takeaway), showers then a movie night, toughest decision is which movie to watch, looks like Lara Croft (Tombraider) is winning at the moment, not sure who is more excited Edward or Morgan lol.

MMSC42, Oh Alice and one or two more

Hi all, this is my card for the new Oh Alice challenge starting this week, using my favourate Sketch Challenge Blog Midnight Madness, took me a bit to work this one out as I challenged myself to use the trickier sketch, the image is from Pollycraft called Clover Dancing with Dragonflies and Butterflies, isn't she cute!! Sentiment from Sweet Peas Stamps (link in sidebar), all papers, ribbons, brads etc from my stash.

This is a close up to try and show the wings using Pearl Ex (from my local store), purple stickles for the heart and little bits on wings

Doodle Palace Sketch Challenge + Freebies

Sneak Peak Doodle Palace

Hi all, time for another realise of digi images from Doodle Palace, the first image I have used is The Easter Cross, I had this idea to make a bookmark, so I cut around the shape after colouring, not telling you how many lilies or crosses I coloured, just not enough shades in my touchmarkers, so out came my watercolouring pencils and blender pen for the cross, placed onto Metallique Sculptured Paper - crazed, then onto Very Vanilla (SU), Sentiment (SU), laminated then added some lovely ribbon.

The lilies turned out much better using watercolours, distressed the edges, sponged and placed on SU dsp and Tangerine Orange.

Now this is the start of a new family of images starting with Chibi Kid, so thought great idea to turn them into Easter parcels, that the Easter Bunny can hide, so below are three samples,

Sorry photos are not the best doesn't work in the sun, out the sun or in the house!! Must get a fancy box. I reversed the image on this chibi and placed her on a pouch parcel, (she did have a friend) my daughter wanted to colour her and unfortunately ended up with black streaks, and I didn't have time to print another off. Designed 2 Delight Week 3

Hi this is the first of two quick posts (honest lol). This is the freebie I received last week, (just realised it was last Monday, where did that week go, missed linking) as soon as I received this image I knew what I was going to do, doesn't that make life easier! Flipped the image and cut is out to make a shape card, know a granny or two in the U.K. who will just adore this lovely card. Added Kindyglitz to the centres and put special effects on the cherries.

Anya Ink meets MMSC41, flowers and more

Hi all, been spoilt today, had some time to play, still not got the hang of these flowers, thankfully this didn't take as long to put together as my Magnolia card last weekend. I have taken loads of photos inside, outside, in the sun out of the sun but I am still struggling to get some of my PURPLES to look PURPLE and not blue. Must have stressed enough hubby is looking into one of those photo box cubes with lights, before we buy one, do they really work, would love some feedback, please:) Rather than waffle too much I am going to list the challenges below as most of you know what you are doing far better than me, but any questions only to willing to answer.

SECOND SNEAK PEAK - Lovey Dovey Bears - Doodle Palace

Hi all, this is the second new release from Doodle Palace called Lovey Dovey Bears and I just love them, have been in the mood for using bright colours and this is what I same up with, not sure if I have got it right but I like it. I used my CM Heart Cutting System for the hearts, then distressed all edges which was a shame as I got them cut very neat this time but wanted to distress. Used SU In Color cardstock and ribbon, think the ribbon was a little wide for such a small bow. Used special effects on the rose, shoe buckles, flowers on dress, eyes and nose. Now you may ask a blue rose, have created this for some special friends overseas who will be celebrating their 45th Wedding Anniversay in April which is Amethyst, which is blue LOL. Also sponging and stamping as you can see.

Just realised I have not got the bottom of the card in, it has a flat edge which is also distressed.

FIRST SNEAK PEAK Chester Bunny for Doodle Palace

Hi all, this a new release called Chester Bunny for Doodle Palace, isn't he just so cute!!! Have coloured using my touchmarkers, used my new sparkly fluff for the tail Champagne Glitz stickles (from Susana's Store, link in my sidebar), also special effects for the eyes, nose and teeth.

I have used kitchen roll, so been wanting to use this on a project, kept some in my craft drawer, also got some gorgeous purple patterned kitchen roll and toilet roll, saving for another project. This fits in with the challenge to use a household item. Not the easiest of items to stitch!!! SU cardstock and dsp, punched flowers with kindyglitz and rhinestones.
Found the idea for this Easter Goodie Holder over on Alison's blog, check this girl out she has some wonderful projects to try out.


Finally butterflies with kindyglitz and pearl embellishments.
This is a piece of the kitchen roll, how pretty is that!

The Challenge at Doodle Palace this week is create a card using score lines, there are plenty of tutorials. Thought this would count too, as you needed score lines to create it.

Midnight Madness Again with Designed 2 Delight and C.R.A.F.T. #37

Hi all, what a great day it has been cool enough to do some digging in the garden or at least it was when we started LOL! At least we have made a start!! Got caught up with DT blogging and had a little time to play, I have used Midnight Madness Challenge Sketch #40 again (the easy one this time) oh this card so came together so much quicker than yesterday's all that bling and flowers wiped me out! Can't believe I have done both sketches don't always get time to do one! Today I have used a lovely image and sentiment from Designed 2 Delight, for their challenge at Delightful Inspirations as soon as I received this image I new I had to use my bees from my stash been so waiting to fit them into a challenge. Recipe
Cardstock, mainly SU, flower dsp, ribbon and bees from my stash, flowers Kaisercraft.
I have kindlyglitz some of the icing and flowers and special effects on the bees and sentiment, oh a little sponging with SU So Saffron.
