Hi all,

First just read this over on Joey's blog about Mo's New Shop and fundraiser for Japan, Mo is selling this gorgeous image 'What's cooking' and all proceeds go to Japan.

Now I don't have facebook but Joey said on Mo's facebook monies raised so far were $350 FANTASTIC.
Edited Paper Craft Planet, Mo has now raised $500 selling this gorgeous image.

Just a note you have to re-register at the new store.  Been there got this little cutie and another one too LOL!  Was very good and restricted myself!

Now the DT are a super talented bunch and have some stunning creations to show you, (what I have seen in my newsletter and on part of the hop, gotta finish the hop yet, just wanted to let you all know, as it is a fairly long hop).

There are some AWESOME Prizes to be won and the DT have some sweet stuff on the hop too!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Scrapbooking Page for our Mad for Markers Australia Day Colour Challenge

Hi all,  First what amazing entries we had for our last challenge, what a difficult task you gave the DT in choosing our favourates!

Being an Australian based Company we thought we would have an 'Australia Day' Challenge over at our Mad for Markers Challenge Blog we would like you to use Australia Day Colours, this can be either RED, WHITE and BLUE   OR  YELLOW and GREEN and use one of these combinations on  your creation.

Now I decided to have another go at a scrapbooking layout, not done too many but fairly pleased with this one.  Though I think something could be missing, let me know.  I thought Mo's image 'digital boy' was just perfect for these photos.  The card is DCWV 'The Generation Tech Stack', Rosanna and I got these for Christmas.  They are fantastic for boy creations!  This is Morgan and our friend's children from England in 09, they had all connected their DS's to some racing game, had to take some photos, they were concentrating that hard lol!

I have used special effects for the eyes, watch, bracelet, remote lead, end of the shoe lace, wrapper and can.

Purple Fairy Holly over at Mad for Markers Untraditional Christmas Colour Challenge

Hi all,

Welcome to our new Mad for Markers Challenge to Copic Colour an Untraditional Christmas Colour Creation!  Now try saying that aloud LOL!

Well Christmas wouldn't be Christmas in our house without a little bit of purple lol!  So I have used my favourate image from Mo Manning 'Fairy Holly' and decorated a gift box for Christmas.  Now I don't usually use a lot of glitter but the sun has not shone much over here and I think I got a little too carried away.  Originally used 3d purple kindygliltz on the frilly underskirt and got carried away when I glittered the wings and spoilt the underskirt and didn't have time to start again so she is very sparkly!

Around the edge I have used my Tim Holtz on the edge snow flurries on glitter card then added a couple of glittered snowflakes (from my stash) with rhinestone brads coloured with V17.  Then added purple rhinestones for a snow falling effect.

A side view to try and show the sparkly cardstock, spica pens used in hair, lips, snow globe and dress

The ribbon around the box

Just a reminder Sammi over at the Mad for Markers Store can cater for all your copic requirements, as well as markers, there are various sticky tapes, Xpress Blend It Paper, masking paper etc. and new to the store Flourish with bling embellishments.  Posting to New Zealand and Australia. .  Also check out our new challenge blog each day for more wonderful inspiration from our new DT.  We so look forward to visiting your space in blog land to see your wonderful creations.

Finally The Engineer

Hi all, hope you are all well, I have loved this image 'The Engineer" by Mo Manning every since I seen Debbie P use it (I think last year), I never knew my grandads but just imagined that one of them could have been this guy here, can't you just see the joy in his face! One of our customers is turning 40 at the end of the month we have become friends and he was saying how he would so love a train set (he feels he missed out when he was a kid lol, so big grin on my face, yeah straight home and bought this lovely image) he doesn't look as old as this guy lol but he sure looked happy thinking about trains.
As most of you know I do struggle with male cards, but I am fairly happy how this turned out, I did try flowers on the grass but just didn't look right, I did colour embossed holly to go up the sides that didn't look right either, so kept it plain. The happy birthday is embossed, then sponged and I added two metal brads to make it look like a sign.
I drew the rail track, it really needed a black outline (my multi liner is on its way from Sammi). Tried to give it a stoney effect using my copics.

I have used special effects over the front of the train to make it nice and shiny. It just so happens Angelo's favourate colour is PURPLE (and our birthdays are only one day apart!) So our engineer is coloured in using Copic (available from Mad for Markers) shades of purple (nearly had a purple train too).

My First Machine Stitched Card

Hi all, what a busy day today, gardened, cleaned and got the washing dry in minutes due to the heat we are having hear in OZ. So thought time to play so wanted to have a go at stitching a card always love the effect I have seen on others peoples creations, so sits at the machine and realise I don't have a stitch that makes crosses, so played around and this is what I came up with. Oh and look girls no PURPLE! Have entered this in K L Stampin Challenge, Pink, Black and a Neutral (I choose White). I have Kindyglitz all the holly and the fluffy lace trim and used Special Effects on the snowglobe, bells and berries.
Also new to me I have decorated the inside pages and used my Crop A Dile, now I know I need a little more practice with the stitching but on the quiet I am quite pleased with the card, as black is not a colour I would choose to use and have used it twice now!
All paper/cardstock are Stampin Up, which I am sure most of you will know I have resigned in October as I didn't wish to sign the new agreement, very disappointed! Image is from MO's Digital the crochet flower I got when I was at stamp camp from the lovely Alison, another thing I am going to have a go at LOL, got the thread and the crochet hook, just need to mess.
Challenges Entered

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #35 - to the right
Mo's Digital Challenge #13 - Birthday - (forgot to write Happy Birthday inside)
Cute Card Thursday #94- Create a card using something new
JUGS #15 - A technique Challenge - Add Stitching to your project
Crazy 4 Challenges #19 - Birthday Theme
KL Stampin #2 - Pink Black and Neutral
I am interpreting that love didn't necessarily mean your beau, made this in mind for my daughter's birthday (starting early), so hopefully haven't broken any rules.
Finally girls you remember that lovely craft desk hubby got me, still trying to set it up, but someone has taken over, the pretence being to spend more time at home with his family over the hols he brought his main computer from work home that has his drawing package on. So I am still working at the dining table LOL!

Got to dash hubby gone for the Indian Takeaway, he will only frown if I am still on here LOL!

Many thanks for looking, happy crafting, wishing you all a fantastic 2010, take care AnnetteX:)

Snow Many Challenges

Hi all, try to make this brief, firstly I heat embossed the snowflake onto Elegant Eggplant cardstock, which was to create your own masterboard/paper. Then I coloured in Holly the Fairy a digital image from Mo's Digital Shop, so love this image! She is coloured using a mixture of copics and markers, her wings are a mixture of special effects and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, special effects has been used on the bells and holly in her hair and on her dress, I also paper toled the lace on her dress. I then hand stitched round the edges and added little metal bells and beads. Then used various ribbons etc., just so love the snowball ribbon and the purple edged ribbon has a gorgeous sequins edge, finishing with a metal snowflake. All the edges on the cardstock have been distressed and I sponged the edges of the cardstock that has Holly on. Took loads of pics but really struggled with the light. Will see if I can improve on it tomorrow.

Thanks for looking, happy crafting, take careX:)

P.S. Holly is PURPLE and not BLUE, just couldn't get it to photo properly.

SSCC#13

Hi all the first of two quick posts, this card was for Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #13, to create a shadow box, my very first attempt, not sure if I have quite got it right. I have made it for my friend's son's 10th Birthday, the image is video boy from Mo's Digital Images I have tried to make it look like it is a T.V. with the boy appearing on the t.v.

Brody likes green so I got Morgan (my son) to repeat the image rotating it at different angles then we printed onto to A4 sheets of green paper and wrapped his pressie up with it.

Thanks for looking, happy crafting, take careX:)

MMSC23, Flutter by Wednesday #79 and Creatalicious Challenge 3

Sorry the sun came out briefly after work but still couldn't get my fairy to look Purple:(
Hi all, first apologies this beautiful Holly Fairy (Mo's Digitals) is definately PURPLE not blue, I have tried every room in the house to try and get a correct photo, will try again tomorrow but needed to post tonight to meet my deadline on Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 23 which is the sketch to the right and don't forget about their Halloween/Fall Blog Hop tomorrow. The second challenge is Flutter by Wednesday #79 to create a card and have a fairy or butterfly on it and third is Bizzy Becs - Creatalicious Challenge 3, to use scrap DP paper, new cardstock and to make your own flower, couldn't believe my luck, so 3 in 1 challenges. At the bottom of this post is one of my original flowers which I have tried to do after watching Priscillas tutorial many times this was my second attempt, didn't set fire to as many this time but must warn you don't concentrate on the flower too much that you forget how far up the match the flame has got, hubby thought it a little risky! I rather think he was more bothered about me burning the table than my fingers (got to say got a little bit of a reputation, but thats another story though does involve candles!) Anyway the flower did not look right so this is my other attempt at a flower which I was shown how to do by Debbie P, who was shown by Kellie, (at stamp camp) got to say I do need more practice.

Recipe: Stampin Up Cardstock and DP (from my scrapbox), ribbons from my stash and must say the patterned ribbon came on a Christmas Present last year (so thats definately recylcling), just can't help myself, probably why my ribbon box is overflowing! Special Effects for the wings, Snowglobe and Flower.

This was my original flower, sorry Priscilla I do not do your tutorial justice but shall work on it! It turned out too big and the other just didn't look right.
Will be back tommorow with much better photos (fingers crossed as we have had a lot of rain), thanks for looking, happy crafting, take careX:)
