Animals and Bugs over at the Ranch PLUS a DT Call

Hi all, Posse 1 challenge you this week to use animals/bugs on your creation, we have another wonderful sponsor this week, Whimsy Stamps have given the Posse a couple of images to play with and mine was 'Hang In There' such a cute image.

I did colour the image using my copics, then had this idea and so I started again, such a chore lol!! Had the idea to have two tortoises hanging in there, so flipped the image (or hubby did I forgot how again hehe).

Now calling this a heart easel card, but I could be wrong not sure if the base has to match the top, did do this but didn't look right. I got to play with my MS punches again, love them as a border. The hearts and little butterflies are also from MS punches. The flower is also coloured using copics. Now I did have more flowers coloured up but looked to much with the floral dsp. Kindyglitz around the edges. Morgan created the sentiment for me after much family discussion on what it should be lol!
I used clear spica pen on the girl tortoise actually gives her a gold sparkle, then used special effects for the shell, eyes and centre of the flowers.

The Winner will received five images of their choice from our Sponsors Whimsy Stamps and also our Winners Badge for display on their blog

http://whimsystamps.com/

We will choose the top 3 whom this week will all receive one image of their choice from CJ's store along with the Top 3 Badge for their blog

CJ is also having a "New Image Release" of Animals and Bugs digital images and to celebrate she is offering 25% off all images in this category.

CJ and Rach are also looking for some more cowgirls, so if you would like to join the team pop on over to the ranch for full details in the challenge post.

Don't forget to check out the other Cowgirl's inspirational creations all links in the sidebar. We can't wait to come and see your wonderful creations.

Doodle Palace sneak peak Birthday Cow

Hi all, the latest new release at Doodle Palace is 'Birthday Cow' and 'Marshmallows and Hotdogs', I have to show you 'Birthday Cow' and thought they would be perfect on party straws to take away as gifts (one of my other addictions is Tupperware and the pink straws are Whistling Straws I bought a while back, they are fantastic and they go through the dishwasher!) So we have a pink, blue and of course a Purple decorated straw! The sparkly purple straw is a normal straw, Rosanna said we needed one on a ordinary straw too!
These cuties are coloured using my copics available from Sammi at Mad for Markers.

Now we made a Milkshake (seemed only appropriate), does it look a little purple lol! Can't say how fast I had to take this photo as R & E were eager to drink!! He He!!

Our challenge this week is to 3d your image, (layering or popping it up), so if you come and join us over at the palace, there are always two winners who get to choose two digital images from the Doodle Palace Store. Please come visit the palace tomorrow to see what the other Doodle Palace Princesses have created.

Could only find one one Challenge out of the challenges I normally try to enter and that is

Hi all, hope you have all had a wonderful weekend, just wondering where ours went, they seem to go far to quickly!!!
Today I would like to bring your attention to a fundraiser for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (England). For full details visit Emma, but the basics is Paula from Pollycraft has created this lovely Digi 'Ronnie Relaxing' for Emma and all monies (1.50 GBP) made are being donated to Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Emma has also got a challenge going with some wonderful prizes so if you have time please try and support her and take part.
Not that this is anything to do with it but had many enjoyable stays/wanderings around Yorkshire, beautiful place, especially loved the Shambles in York and the castle.

SECOND SNEAK PEAK - Lovey Dovey Bears - Doodle Palace

Hi all, this is the second new release from Doodle Palace called Lovey Dovey Bears and I just love them, have been in the mood for using bright colours and this is what I same up with, not sure if I have got it right but I like it. I used my CM Heart Cutting System for the hearts, then distressed all edges which was a shame as I got them cut very neat this time but wanted to distress. Used SU In Color cardstock and ribbon, think the ribbon was a little wide for such a small bow. Used special effects on the rose, shoe buckles, flowers on dress, eyes and nose. Now you may ask a blue rose, have created this for some special friends overseas who will be celebrating their 45th Wedding Anniversay in April which is Amethyst, which is blue LOL. Also sponging and stamping as you can see.
Just realised I have not got the bottom of the card in, it has a flat edge which is also distressed.

The Challenge at Doodle Palace this week is to create a card using scoring, there are links to various tutorials.

Second Easel Card - Baby Boy

Hi all, tried to schedule this post, but couldn't figure out how (dim wit me) so will try another time as I was just playing. I will be showing a couple around our coaster campervan tonight so(keep your fingers crossed we sell). Our neighbours had a little boy yesterday and they have named him Zac, so whipped this up today, now for those that follow will think where was the first easel card, can't show you yet, but had so much fun had to make another, could not believe how easy they are to do. The image is from Doodle Palace, just adorable. I have used my favourate colouring medium Touch Markers and my only two copics (all say or poor thing) LOL! There is special effects on the tyres, elephants trunk, the birdy and eyes, also on some of the polka dots, just not too clear.
Distressed and sponged around the image, brads in the corners. All the dsp and ribbon were in my scrap box, sentiment from my stash.
Cardstock Stampin Up Baja Breeze.
Side view, some of the special effects shows a little, just noticed top corner, note to self to place sticky tape nearer the edge LOL!

A Toucan of My Love

Hi all, just look at this Toucan isn't he just cheeky looking, I got this as one of my prizes from Doodle Palace, pop over and see what fantastic doodles Dee and Robin have in their store, when I saw him, just had to have him, hubby loves Toucans. The challenge was pet themed, flowers, glitter, hearts and rhinestones for a Valentine, just realised when loading pictures no glitter, sorry! I have taken the pet theme to mean animal/bird, so hope thats o.k. Not to sure on my colouring of the Toucan not an easy task.

Here's a close up I have used special effects on his eye and upper beak, didn't have too many heart and flower rhinestones so used what I had and then made up with the other flowers (don't what they are called, just in my stash, I used 3d kindyglitz for the centre of the flowers and managed to smudge one! Don't think hubby will notice. Used green fluffy ribbon for the handle and threaded red hearts on and made the sentiment. Then filled with hubbies fav treat Raffaello (he calls them coconut jobbies) bit like ferrero rochers but, white chocolate and coconut. Don't know what to call the goodie holder just made it up by wrapping dsp around a square base. Tried to create a rainforest background and the flowers are imitation orchids LOL!
Challenges
Doodle Palace - Pet valentine project, flowers, glitter, hearts and rhinestones
SG2 Challenge - Anything but a Card with a twist for Valentine
This is also another entry for Tuesday Taggers - Tag it with Birds
