Pink and Pearly over at the Cowgirl Up Ranch

Howdy all,

This is a quick post as we have our visitors this weekend, we have had a Fantastic time showing them round, catching up and they had their first BBQ in OZ.  Hope you all having a wonderful weekend.

The Cowgirls challenge you this week to make a creation using pearls, the colour pink with a little purple or green.  I have used CJ's image Emlee, pictured her in my head, with dark hair and darkish skin tone, this is the first time I have done either of these!   Not sure I had got it right, but growing on me and hubby says its good.  Also a first for the dolley (thank you Sammi who sent me a lovely package of coloured ones using her compressor).  The pearls were originally ivory and I coloured them with my copic V17.  Glitter card for the base of the card.

Our sponsors this week is the talented Paula from Pollycraft Stores who will be giving the winner a voucher to the value of $10.00 to spend in the store.

The Top Three will be given an image of choice from our CJ.

Halloween over at the Cowgirl Up Ranch

Hi all

Hope you are all well, sorry been AWOL for a few days but my little (big girl) girl turns 13 on Tuesday, so we had to have the teen haircut which is gorgeous (pic soon) and six of them went to the movies to watch Cats and Dogs 3D and to lunch for pizza and chips.  In between we have been working hard in the garden, so excited got part of our path in last week and working on the next area, 4 cubic meters of top soil, pick axe, tank water (to soften the ground its like clay), gymsum, hired rotovator and 3 cubic meters of stone (still need 2-3 more cubic meters) and lots of mostly native plants. So definately built up the muscles lol!  Also got a little sunburnt!   We have our first visitors arriving on Friday, hence trying to get as much gardening done.  Then MIL arrives the following weekend for five weeks so we will celebrate her 86th and Rosanna's Birthday together.

Over at the Cowgirl ranch CJ has brought out a wonderful new release of Halloween Images, not celebrated too much over here (but we did in our village back in England) I was given 'Sick of Candy' thought is was a spelling mistake of the image at first (Stick of Candy), so warped humour kicked in and made a goody bag (or sick bag lol).  Coloured this cute image using copics.and punched out the ghosts and pumpkins using a CM punch and coloured them.  Sponged the background.  Added stickers I found in our local $2 shop.

A closer look, for the first time I used the technique 'adding texture with Copic Colourless Blender Solution' I was trying to get that sort of bumpy feel a pumpkin has, didn;t quite get what I had in mind (perhaps a little heavy handed with the solution).  Also was brave and coloured this cutie bear with a part green face to give the sick look.  Love those spider eyes peeking in.

Recyled Spooky Purple Bat Earrings

Our Challenge this week is open 'Anything Goes'.  The chosen winner this week will receive FOUR images of choice from CJ and Top 3 will receive TWO images of choice.  You really must go check out the other Cowgirl's Fantastic Creations using CJ's wonderful new creations.

Hi all, hope everyone is having a great week!  Our Challenge over at the Cowgirl Up Ranch starting on Sunday 5th is Anything Goes, I have used CJ's gorgeous image 'Chelsea', now it is my Sister's birthday next week and her fav colour is orange, now my DS is not really a flowery/glitzy girl so kept that to a minimum.  Got to use my new alpabet dies swirls and curls (my only set didn't think about when buying what I was going to do for mens cards lol).

Now DS used to have a tarrantula, snake, iguana etc (so not like me) had to make sure the snake hadn't escaped before I would set a toe through the door lol!  So this is a clearer photo of the spider brad on its web.

Our wonderful sponsor is the very talented Michelle Perkett, the lucky winner will get to choose three of her wonderful images and our winners badge for their blog.
The Top 3 will get to choose one image each from CJ's store and the Top 3 badge for their blog.

Hi Morgan here hyjacked mum's blog to post my card

Hi everyone,

Edit: THIS IS A CARD CREATED BY MY SON MORGAN, he has made the card himself and done most of the post I just helped with the linking (on the quiet he is quite chuffed with himself, I think he has done a fab job, so has his sister) we had a lovely time today crafting for a few hours. Rosanna made two beautiful Applie pies this morning and peeled the potatoes for the potatoe and cheese bake for dinner tonight.

Decided to do some crafting today so I could make my dad a fathers day card! I am going to enter this card into The Cowgirl Up Sunday Challenge using their sketch . Pile it on challenge #31 a little bit of country, Stampin with the Dragon Challenge #7 ,Yellow, Blue & Green.

The image is Dad 'n' me from The Cowgirl Up online store. I borrowed mum's Copics (why does the ink always has to jump outside the lines) to colour it in. I also used 5 split pins (crafty people will know them as brads) and a bit of stickles.

This is a close up of 'Dad' and the star split pin (brad).

Thankyou for reading this, Morgan.B

Heads Up for our Cowgirl's 'Anything Goes Challenge'

Hi all, Posse 2 will be leading our 'Anything Goes' Challenge starting July 25th, Posse 1 are giving you a little advance warning. I chose CJ's Dad 'n' Me image as it reminded me of an old photo of Edward as a little boy (not too long ago lol). Which I wanted to use on a scrapbooking page, found this gorgeous paper at Riot and Craft. The old photo Morgan scanned for me and made it a little bigger, Edward is in the blue, holding the hand of the farm hand Mr Fisher leading one of the farm horse with his brother riding. The heart shape photo is his first pony Patch and the middle was Mr Major (boy was he a handful) but thoroughly enjoyed riding him.
This is a close up of the beautiful image, not going to say how many attempts I had at colouring, haven't coloured a horse since I was little lol!

A close up of the old photo (approx 44/45 years ago)

Our sponsor for our 25th July Anything Goes is the talented Michelle Perkett
