Hi all, where is April going, hope you are all well, we have been super busy at work, so not had too much time to play lol!  First I would like to say hello to my new followers over the last few weeks.
For my inpsiration over at the Mad for Markers Store Blog I would like to show you this cute fun image 'Mooey' from Some Odd Girl and is available from the Store here.  I spotted these slippers on the way to get the groceries and the idea popped into my head to make these wobbly toppers, I have used velcro to fasten them on.

I reversed stamped the image, coloured using copics and lots of spica, though it was hard to get a photo due to them being laminated

a closer look, couldn't get a picture of their heads wobbling lol!

Zoo Scrapbooking Pages using Copics to create the photo background

Hi crafting buddies, hope you are all well.

This is a scheduled post hopefully I have it right this week, when I snuck on at work to check last week, big flap on when it wasn't there, I had only set it for P.M. LOL!
Today for my inspiration over at the Mad for Markers Store Blog I would like to show you how I made my own backgrounds for the photos to match the Bo Bunny papers I have used on the following scrap pages, just looove these papers, just perfect for these photos of Rosanna and her friend Karly taken last July at Werribee Zoo.

Page 2

Sorry for the quality of the photo must have taken 12 shots had to take the photo back off and this was the best I could get, think it must be the white lol!  As you can see I coloured around the edges and created a two tone effect

I then went around the edge with the marker to take away the white edge, I usually use a marker on the photos too especially after using a corner punch.  This photo was tricky camera in one hand, marker and paper in the other lol!

I usually use a marker on the edges of the photos too especially after using a corner punch, like on this photo with round edges. Just love this photo!

Vintage Icing Decoration, Holiday Photos and Festive Wishes

Hi all, hope you are all well and not too stressed!!!

For my post this week over at the Mad for Markers Store Blog I have made a vintage icing decoration, I did have two but the star shape broke.  Hoping to fix it lol!!  When I get the chance.

I really struggled getting a good photo, but it definately sparkles from using the spicas!  I have used them on the outline of the images and to colour too!  Some of the embellishments were coloured with copics.

Copics and Spicas used

B28, BG10, BV08, C00, C1, RV66, YR12
Baby Blue, Black, Clear, Garnet, Lilac, Lavender, Lipstick, Melon, Olive, Pitch Black

You still have eight days to enter our current Mad for Markers Christmas Challenge we look forward to seeing your festive creations.

Challenges

Personal for those that are interested.

We took a break (9th-16th) and went to the high country and stayed near a place called Mansfield.  It was like a bigger version of the Lake District, we saw Kangaroos, Deer, Wallaby, Wombat, Yabby, Kookaburra, Long necked Turtle, three types of parrot and two types of Heron and this doesn’t include the zoo! Oh and I nearly forgot, Morgan got quite a scare from a Tiger snake.

The view from our accomodation at Liptelvin, pet friendly, so Rusty came away with us and even had his own accomodation which he shared with Ben his play buddy.

The fog on one side of Mount Buller (ski resort in the winter)

How awesome is this sculputered water melon!!

A wombat at night, on the road to the accomodation

A quick break on our 40k bike trek from Mansfield to Bonne Doon

Rosanna and Morgan horse riding

This was taken at the zoo

A long Necked Turtle, which we nearly run over, we rescued him/her and the children placed it in the creek

How fluffy are those clouds, took this one for inspiration when I have another practice at colouring clouds with my copics lol!

We had a wonderful family holiday (the first time we have had a chilling out one) Edward’s injury to his foot slowed him down some. (Accident at work a job jumped on his foot and just missed his safety shoe, so he ended up with 3 stitches across the top of his foot). Though we did manage a 40K bike ride, bike riding is a little easier on his foot. Rosanna and Morgan both went on a two hour horse ride and thoroughly enjoyed it! We keep saying we must do more of this!  Got to be one of our best family breaks. The views were breathtaking.  Came back and have worked since lol!  Still haven't got my Xmas Tree/Decs up yet, hopefully tonight.

Hope to catch up with you all soon

Wishing you all a magical Christmas and a fun and healthy 2012, take careX:)

Handbag/Purse Invitations for Rosanna's Birthday, Copic Conference Photos and Grannies 87th Birthday

Hi All, where did last month go!!!

First just got to wish my Mum in Law A WONDERFUL 87TH BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGARET, HIP HIP HURRAY!!XXXX

Just had the most FANTASTIC weekend at the Copic Conference in Sydney, took Rosanna and boy did we have fun, laughed so much my sides hurt, ate way too much yummy food, fortunately my trousers were stretchy lol!  And had so much crafty fun!  Was lovely to colour again without the stress of work, cleaning etc!!!  Though that didn't last long when I got back home lol!

Finally got these invitations finished ready for Rosanna's Birthday sleepover on Saturday, so another weekend with very little sleep lol!  These have been created on shiny/metallic cardstock.  I made up the design myself, if anybody is interested I have made a few notes and would be happy to do make a tutorial, just let me know.

Had to make a keepsake for Rosanna (also the guinea pig lol!)  I pleated the ribbon around the edges, and part copic coloured the very edge but we decided we liked the edge as it was!  Kindyglitz the edge of the purse, the flap and swirlled it on the ribbon.  Cream pearl beaded ribbon for the handle. Pearls and rhinestones for decoration.

A different background to show the kindyglitz sparkle and embellishments, 'Rosanna' is written using an Ice White Liquid Pearls Pen

A close up of one of the copic coloured rhinestones

Just had to have a purple one lol!

The invite on SU Vanilla card stock and punched edges

All ten purses and all unique as Rosanna picked the cardstock and said here mum these are the colours, so has been fun matching embellishments lol!

Finally finished the bolero and fundraising for Lyndall and Alopecia

Hi all, where does the time go!!!  Hope you are all well.  Still no card making in my free time I have been knitting and FINALLY finished Rosanna's Bolero/cardigan, not the fastest of knitters lol!  Got it finished in time for her to go out to a party on Saturday night.

On my beautiful DD

A closer look at the knitted lacey edge, I think I should have stretched it more when sewing it to the cardigan, was going to undo it but Rosanna likes it how it is PHEW!

FUNDRAISERS

Whilst trying to catch up on blogging (a couple of weeks ago, sorry for not getting posted sooner) I visited the gorgeous Cheryl's blog and read about a lovely lady called Lyndall who is battling Cancer yet again!! Cheryl is organising a fundraiser event, if you could send Lyndall a card or would like to help with the fundraiser evening, please go see Cheryl's post for full details and whilst there have a look at her beautiful creations.

Lyndall and her three year old son

This is the link to the fundraising blog where you can also buy some fantastic digi's that are for sale.

Also Mandy on her blog 'A Sprinkling of Glitter' has some blogaversary candy and surprise candy also to people who send Lyndall a card.

Also over on Kellie's blog I read about Heidi (her five year old daughter) and herself having their hair chopped to raise funds for Alopecia.

More garden news for those who are interested.  This is why I haven't got much crafting done lol!

Finally got all the sand down and the boys had fun using the wacker to make it firmer, added more stone/rocks and changed the colour of the path, put some flags down but found when we put the different colours together they are slightly different in size, so having to start again and leave a 2mm gap on some and not on others, gonna be fun lol!

Enjoy the rest of your week, happy crafting and take careX:)

Our Crafting Day out and the garden

Hi all

Hope you are all well, sorry for being AWOL, but things have been busy here (not complaining nice to have the work at the factory) then been doing more gardening whilst the ground is soft lol!  Paving is next on the list so we have all been busy drawing the pattern of the flags, we are going with a checker board made bigger so snakes and ladders can be played and I may have a butterfly pattern under the washing line.  Definately not enough hours in the day LOL!  So been too tired to craft.

Rosanna and I had a day out and went to the Craft and Quilting Show in Melbourne, FANTASTIC day we had so many talented people out there.  We each took three classes, the first we made these very blingy watches, bet you know whose is whose lol!  I then had a go at beading (first time) quite chuffed managed this much of a Lariat necklace, while Rosanna made a T-Shirt Bag, then she made a beautiful bookmark and I went and made the T-Shirt Bag, we managed a little bit of shopping too, we have decided next year we definately have to go for two days at least!

Hello and a update

Sorry it has been a while since I have been to visit but shall be round soon!  First unfortunately last week we decided not to pursue the craft business purchase:(   For many reasons!  Very disappointing as rather liked the idea and had many meetings with Wendy who is such a lovely lady, Florewen is still for sale and is based at Bacchus Marsh if anyone else is interested.  So for now Edward still has me bossing him around at the factory lol!

Good news celebrated my 44th Birthday yesterday and what a fantastic day I had with my DH (who took the day off work) DD and DS who are on school holidays.

Got taken on a tour of Shadowfax Winery, then wine tasting and had a beautiful lunch there too! Then off to the beach for a beautiful stroll in the sun.

Glorious afternoon at the beach.  Called in at home and found lots of lovely birthdays wishes via email from facebook and The Outlawt!  And a beautiful TGF card off Emma.  Thanks girls.  Got a beauitful purple necklace off Rosanna, matching ear-rings off Morgan with a Papercraft Mag, Smallville Season 9 off Edward and a ticket to go see Dolly Parton in November WOO HOO!!!  My surprise evening meal was out to the Thai Fresh Chilli restaurant for the evening, it was excellent, though I think we all ate too much lol! Shopped after and got a purple bag and purple hoodie. AWESOME DAY.

Seen the boys off this morning they are going skiing for the weekend, so Rosanna and I are going to have a girlie weekend, which I believe will include a trip to the zoo.  We shall be doing some crafting too, though I have been busy knitting a cardigan for Rosanna which is nearly finished.

I shall be back soon, hopefully I will still know how to use my copics lol!  So hoping you and your families are all well.  Happy Holidays for you all with kiddies on school break, take careX:)
