Super Hero LaLa Land Star Luka Easel Card

Hi all, hope you are all well, I've been am extremely lucky girl in blog land recently, I won The Southern Girls Challenge a couple of weeks ago ($20 to spend at The Paper Shelter), on Tuesday I won a set of 12 spicas over at The Copic Oz Challenge (Rosanna's very happy lol! she looves spicas), then a beautiful fiskar punch over on Tara's blog, then last night I won Karen's gorgeous Easter Candy, (all links or pics in side bars).  Thank you Girls!  Definately cheered me up lol!   Shall celebrate by having some candy of my own soon.

Anyway, today for my inspiration over at the Mad for Markers Store Blog I would like to show you this fantastic boys image from LaLa Land 'Star Boy Luka' available here.  I have made an easel using papers from DCWV 'All about the Boys Stack', perfect for our super hero.

Used Silver, Gold and Clear Spicas on his cuffs, star, buckle and boots.

I have coloured the beige Happy Birthday Ribbon with R29, B14 & Y15 to match the papers, love this paper, reminds me of Batman and Robin when I was a kid with all the bubble speech marks lol!  So dated now!

Monochromatic Tiny Baker Tia and Happy Birthday Edward

Hi all, hope you are well, (another scheduled post as am at work), today for my inspiration over at the Mad for Markers Store Blog I would like to show you this cutie Some Odd Girls Image 'Tiny Baker Tia' day' available here from The Mad for Markers Store and to keep in with our New Monochromatic March Challenge I have coloured her in shades of brown.

I made this card for My DH whose Birthday is today (X:)), he has a sweet tooth and loves homemade baking, so with a little imagination, image a slimmer, younger me lol presenting him with a cupcake lol!  (Morgan says it is too girly for his dad but gonna take the chance lol).

All the edges have been distressed, got to get one of those gadgets, instead of using scissors lol!

I placed one of the sentiment from this set on the inside, the dotted paper is handmade in India it has such a lovely feel to it.

A closer look at the spica and special effects

My Last Post for Mad for Markers

Hi all

It is with sadness that I have stepped down from my DT positions, so this is my last post for Mad for Markers, I have been with Sammi for a year (where did it go), I have had a wonderful crafting journey, learnt so much and met some beautiful blogging buddies! Lucky enough to meet some in person when helping Sammi at Paperific.  I am sure gonna miss you girls!!!:(  You are an amazing talented bunch of crafters and lots of fun too!

They reason why:

For sometime now I have fancied having my own craft store and finally took the plunge and l am hoping to buy a craft business, I have never run a store before, so have much too learn and will be spending time with the owner learning as much as possible.  We will have to move house if all goes to plan so in trying to get the house and garden ready to sell, all the travelling, working for Edward, plus Rosanna and Morgan, I just don't have the time to fulfill my DT duties properly.  So keep your fingers crossed everything goes to plan. I will still be around in blog land (hopefully with a creation or two) if not just looking at the gorgeous creations you all make.

Onto our new challenge over at  Mad for Markers is colouring grey, now this was a challenge for me as I have never done this before, so here is my attempt I have used this image and sentiment from The Greeting Farm Set 'A Journey', which I thought was just perfect.  (This came in my blog candy stash from Debbie, thank you).  You do not have to colour all your image grey if you don't want, just use some grey copics somewhere on your creation, your papers don't have to be grey either, I think my mood was grey at the time, so everything was grey lol!

All papers are SU, distressed all the edges, image stamped on XPress Blending Card, the background was created dotting around the image with the grey copics.

Copics  C00, C01, C03, C5, C7 (never used so few copics before lol!)

We have some new members to the team and the lovely Bron will be filling my Tuesday post over at Mad for Markers so don't forget to stop by and see the wonderful inspiration each day from the DT.

Copics and Xpress It Blending Card as well as LaLa Land Stamps and The Greeting Farm Images are all available from Sammi over at the Mad for Markers Store.

Finally The Engineer

Hi all, hope you are all well, I have loved this image 'The Engineer" by Mo Manning every since I seen Debbie P use it (I think last year), I never knew my grandads but just imagined that one of them could have been this guy here, can't you just see the joy in his face! One of our customers is turning 40 at the end of the month we have become friends and he was saying how he would so love a train set (he feels he missed out when he was a kid lol, so big grin on my face, yeah straight home and bought this lovely image) he doesn't look as old as this guy lol but he sure looked happy thinking about trains.
As most of you know I do struggle with male cards, but I am fairly happy how this turned out, I did try flowers on the grass but just didn't look right, I did colour embossed holly to go up the sides that didn't look right either, so kept it plain. The happy birthday is embossed, then sponged and I added two metal brads to make it look like a sign.
I drew the rail track, it really needed a black outline (my multi liner is on its way from Sammi). Tried to give it a stoney effect using my copics.

I have used special effects over the front of the train to make it nice and shiny. It just so happens Angelo's favourate colour is PURPLE (and our birthdays are only one day apart!) So our engineer is coloured in using Copic (available from Mad for Markers) shades of purple (nearly had a purple train too).

Morgan and mine joint Pirate creation

Hi all, just a quick post, because my little girl is back from camp, busy having a shower (proper one lol). This is a joint effort card by Morgan and I for his friend James. Morgan drew the map which we had burnt with a match around the edges to try and make it look old. He also generated the compass using the computer (far more gifted than his mum in that area). The cute pirate is from Pollycraft which I coloured with my wonderful copics, available from Mad for Markers.
YO HO a Pirates life for Me (from Pirates of the Carribean) theme tune by George Burns

Inside the card I made a treasure chest which contained James treasure ($$$).

My two have finished school today, till the 13th July so we are hoping to do some family crafting and visit Kaisercraft. I do have a birthday coming up soonish around the time of my one year having a blog, where does the time go, so am putting together some goodies for a little celebration blog candy later in the month and the children are helping put this together, I am so excited, never done a blog candy before.

SNEAK PEAK - Doodle Palace

Hi all, this is a sneak peak of one of the new release Digital images at Doodle Palace, male cards are definately not easy for me, but thought I would challenge myself!
I used grit 60 sandpaper for the sand effect, SU cardstock for everything else, the sentiment is sponged with only orange and yellow yoyo (sun effect), didn't matter how many pics I took, still looks brown. This card has been made for a friend who has just got the all clear, so definately cause for celebrating. Now hubby tells me I have a freshwater fishing rod for sea water (not that he has done much fishing), just think he likes to tease LOL!! Used kindyglitz along the edge of the sandpaper and special effects on boots, catch and rod.

Doodle Palace have a new challenge - lots of layers, so please come and join us if you can.

Challenges

Rosie D #64 - Just for Men
ABC 'N' - New (new digi image and sandpaper)

Anya Ink #7

Hi again, finally got this card made, had the idea all week, this is for Anya Ink #7, create a male card, had Rosanna and Morgan help with this one, they created the fifty for me on the computer, then coloured my Anya image courtesy of my friend Emma, used special effects for splashes of water and barely banana cardstock for the background with distressed edges. This is for my friends husband they have just been away celebrating, he went watersking while Julie read a book by the pool.
Again sorry for poor photography (blaming lateness of the night, nothing to do with my photography skills) lol.

Thanks for looking, happy crafting, take careX:)

SSCC#13

Hi all the first of two quick posts, this card was for Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #13, to create a shadow box, my very first attempt, not sure if I have quite got it right. I have made it for my friend's son's 10th Birthday, the image is video boy from Mo's Digital Images I have tried to make it look like it is a T.V. with the boy appearing on the t.v.

Brody likes green so I got Morgan (my son) to repeat the image rotating it at different angles then we printed onto to A4 sheets of green paper and wrapped his pressie up with it.

Thanks for looking, happy crafting, take careX:)

4 in 1 Challenges, CCC56, DS6, PD16 and ACB17

Hi all, this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge 56, is a colour challenge, Red, White and Blue, while I was thinking about it, I visited Teri's blog and came across Delightful Sketches #6, then Polka Dots #16, their challenge is Spots and Stripes and this sprung to mind, I have changed the sketch slightly, so may not qualify for that challenge but the sketch nevertheless led me to this, using Patrick Patrol Car and Muscle Superbird, digital images available from Sunshine Stamps. Also qualifies for Allsorts Challenge Blog, for allsorts of challenges, challenge #17, something for the boys. This card was created for our friend Lee whose birthday is next month, really wanted to put Muscle Superbird on the front but he just blended in with the red, so he is on the back with the Aussie Flag, they were here last month so thought it might be a momento of the hols.
this is the back, Lee loves his cars and that was my reason for getting Muscle Superbird, sorry for quality of photos but had to take them at night. Yes I have cheated, printed a flag for the back, it was fiddly enough doing a Union Jack on the front, didn't fancy a smaller one, wanted to get onto my next project, water colouring with the Fifty Avenue Stampin Up set. Hopefully will get them on later.
Thanks for looking, happy crafting, take care X:)

Creatalicious Challenge #1

Hi all, promise this will be the last post, only had this much time to craft as the cnc machine (Maizie) decided to she needed some TLC which involved $$$, so she has been out of action for a couple of days, so not one to waste an opportunity thought I would do some blogging and crafting, found a new challenge via the lovely Debbie P, at Creatalicious Challenges.
The challenge was to include the colour brown and metal, set with Father's Day in mind but that was optional.
Anyway only metal items I have are brads, so went back to one of my favourate Stampin Up sets, For Father and created this card using all Stampin Up Cardstock Close to Cocoa, Really Rust and Very Vanilla, the stamp image is coloured in using Stampin Up Watercolour Pencils and a Blender Pen. Just need to improve my printing! Must admit this card seems fairly plain to what I have been doing! Didn't know what else to do with it!
Thanks for looking, happy crafting and take careX:)

Hay Seed Hanks, Cheers for You & More

Hi again, just a quickie, have a few birthdays coming up only found out about the first one last night, so quickly whipped up a Hay Seed Hanks, digital image from Sunshine Stamps, love these images! Not going to go through the blurb, as most of you know much more than me!

The second card is for a friends fortieth, just love this Cheers for You Set and my old faithful last years in-colours.

The third is for a bit of fun, Ida at Little's Stash and Dash is celebrating a blogoversary and has three candy options on offer, one is to send her a card via snail mail, so this is the card I am going to send, her blog candy is in my side bar.

Sorry for the gaps tried to minimise them and kept deleting the pictures, so a tad frustrated!

The last isn't a card but a bunch of my shades of purple sweet peas from the garden, I was taking a picture of the cards and thought it would make a nice photo, so count yourselves as receiving an blog bunch of sweet peas, they smell absolutely beautiful.
Thanks once again for looking, Happy Crafting, Take CareX:)
