Finally a card using Some Odd Girl Royal

Hi all, finally a card, did you miss me:)  Between work, family, other stuff happening and my mojo going on holiday, I haven't paper crafted or blogged anything like I would have liked!!  So hoping to remedy that and catch up with you soon.  Hope you and your families are all well.
Today for my inspiration over at the Mad for Markers Store Blog I have used the gorgeous Royal from Some Odd Girl available from the store here, she comes with a crown, sentiment and banner stamp all of which I have used.
It was great to craft again and I had a lots of fun creating this card, tried a few different techniques new to me as well as using lots of pearls and flowers.

I stamped Royal using Lulu Lavender Memento, then I outlined her dress with my new Multiliner 0.3 PURPLE (a wonderful gift from a lovely friend, thankyou).  I thought it would be fun to have pink hair with added pearls (like those fancy pins you get for your hair), I slit her hair to place the crown coloured with spicas and added special effects.  I also used the sepia multiliner to outline some of the face and black multiliner to the eyes and lashes (which were a fiddle to cut round lol).  Sprayed her with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer mist. Added pearls to the birds and flowers.

The banner was stamped with Lulu Lavender Momento ink and black memento for the sentiment.
One of my first tries at crocheting a flower, the pearl flower and butterfly are made using a template.  Got the gorgeous pearl flower ribbon from my local craft store.

Copics, spicas, multiliners used as well as a huge selection of stamps, papers, digi images are all available from our Mad for Markers Store

Skin/Face - E000, E00, E01, E11, R20, E33, E37, multi liner Black and Sepia, Spica Lavender
Hair - RV10, RV11, RV13, RV14
Dress - V01, V12, V15, V17 and the new multiliner Purple (part of the brights set available here)
AND the colourless blender for correction and to blend out some of the colour in the dress and hair
BV08 and RV14 to colour some of the cream half pearls to match

Paper 6" Paper Pad La-Di-Da Collection and SS card stock.

We would love to see your creations in our Mad for Markers Colour Challenge to use either B, BG or BV or all if you wish.

Inky Impressions Easel Card Challenge

Hi all, for our new Inky Impressions Challenge  we would like you to make an easel card, now you know how much I love my Easel cards, decided I needed to have a go at a side/twist easel.

I have used the cute Inky Image 'Lili's Stuffed Bunny', which was one of my first images I bought, at the start of  my Inky obsession lol!  Now not sure if I have the twist right but this is my version lol!

Now this is very, very ribbony and flowery for me and so not sure I have got the mix right!  Now if you look closely at the butterfly buttons their embroidery thread antenna have stickles on the ends, DD said this helped them look more like butterflies lol!  The papers are Kaisercraft La-Di-Da Collection, love the colours.  The little butterflies are from my MS border punch and a cute little bunny charm.  No guesses who wants this card for her 14th Birthday lol!

A closer look at Glimmer Misted Lili with her Bunny, also got the sewing machine out and stitched around the outer edges, used some green dewdrops on the flowers.
A photo of the side  view stamped the inside using a SU stamp

The flowers are all hand stitched, my poor thumb got stabbed a few times! Have used a sparkly button and brads for centres, some of the brads are coloured using Copics.  Finally used my SU leaves sizzlits Little Leaves die

Crazy Hair Challenge over at Mad for Markers

Hi all, finally got sometime to play lol!  Continuing our Crazy Hair Colouring Challenge over at the Mad for Markers Challenge Blog, we would love to see hair not coloured in the usual blondes, browns and brunettes.  Now you can use one of Sammi's from her chart here or make up your own (which could then go onto Sammi's soon to be released new hair colour chart, so please let us know which colours you use.

Now I think I have tried to be a little too ambitious for my colouring talents but so had to have my fave colour purple and next fav colour orange together.

Anyway here is 'Sweet Pea Blue Eyed Fairy' how gorgeous are her eyes, lightly distressed all the edges.

A side look to show the gorgeous lip colour using Lavender Spica pen and special effects (I do have to confess to having a gorgeous sparkly lippy just like this), also used Lilac Spica for eye shadow.  First time I have tried dotting, love this effect when I have seen it on other crafters creations and finally sprayed with glimmermist.

Shows the special effect on the paper toled flowers, eyes and choker, also a closer look at the orange copic coloured roses.

Copics

Hair - V12, V15, V17, YR00, YR02, YR04 & 0

Good Morning/Evening

This was a scheduled post lol but I am still up and about and this week our Inky Impressions Challenge is Black, White + One other colour, starting Wednesday 7.00am EST, now postie still hasn't brought me my new images:( so I have used one of my favourates Inky Girls Fairy Lili, now this was a challenge for me, I have hardly used black and white and had to dig deep in my stash lol!  I tried something new on Lili's wings and used kindyglitz and sprinkled SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter while still wet and boy do they sparkle, then sprayed with Glimmer Mist Dazzling Diamonds.  Special effects for the eyes, hair bobbles and shoes.  I have used my spellbinders blossom for the shape and MS punch using black glitter card stock for the butterfly.   Sentiment is also from Nicole at Inky Impressions.  Now I have to say I pleased with how she turned out!

Hi all, hope you are all having/had  a wonderful weekend, we have been busy in the garden and making slow progress, but we do have part of the garden path done and have redone the grass seeds.

Today the Cowgirls challenge you this week to use 3 different flowers and 3 design papers, now I was given Gerry's Birthday from the talented Roberta at Prairie Fairy Designs one of our sponsors this week, so I hope you don't mind Roberta, Gerry is now Geraldine!  Thought this would make a beauitful 1st birthday for a little girl, equally so for a boy without the flowers!

Sorry about the photo, this is the best I could get!  The two top papers have glittered images so I kindyglitzed the cake and flowers.

Our First Sponsor is Prairie Fairy Designs whom the winner will receive five images of choice and our Winners Badge.

Top 3 will each win one image of choice from Phoebe at  The Town Scrapper and one image of choice from our CJ and our top 3 badge.  We would like to wish Phoebe a very Happy Birthday (today), wishing you all the best from the CowgirlsX:)

Pearls and Swirls Easel Card for Bizzy Becs and Oh Alice

Hi all, over at Bizzy Becs they have a store challenge going to use Pearls and Swirls on your creation, now this definately took me out of my comfort zone, can't remember using pearls, only just started using rhinestores lol! Our Sammi from Mad for Markers designed the sketch below for the Oh Alice Challenge with a twist, to break the rules meaning you have to redesign the sketch, not often you can have fun breaking rules without getting into trouble lol! First rule I broke was to make it circular, so hope thats o.k. and counts.
Finally, I have used Snow Queen from Tracey Spesch Stamps, coloured her gorgeous gown and gloves lightly using BV0000, BV00 and C00. The flower ribbon was coloured using BV00 then I glued a little pearl on for the centres, the pearl necklace and earing were coloured also using BV00. Some parts of the flowers were also coloured using BV00 then added Stickles Frosted Lace. Pearl ribbon across the middle.
The background I used my SU So Swirly Wheel, versamarked then heat embossed with purple powder. Used special effects on crown top and pearl images on the dress and hair, gold spica for the crown base.

Now this is my first attempt at using more than three flowers!! With a swirl of pearls leading away. Distressed and kindyglitzed around the edge of the base.

Copics
BV0000, BV00
C01
E000, E50, E51, E53

Today is the second day of our 'Feather Blending Challenge over at Mad for Markers, I finally got Penny coloured up (she is available from my DT sister Tracey), isn't she just gorgeous! She really lends herself to lots of blending. She is of course coloured using copics which are available from Sammi, who also has a tutorial on feather blending here. Just to show you how versatile these copics are I coloured the pearl embellishment on the small flower. Used my MS butterfly punch for the butterfly with pearl embellishments and kindyglitz. Originally I cut blue to the sunflower shape and didn't like it I felt this looks like a blue sky background.
A close up of Penny, used special effects for her beautiful eyes.

Hi all, Been playing again, thought I would have a go at using my new butterfly punch again, did I say how much I looooove it lol! So had a go at shaping it around this circle easel card. Thought Lili Scooting was so appropriate for summer fun. Coloured her using Copics, must say just a little tricky cutting her out, been lots of tricky/fiddly bits with this card. Over at Inky Impressions Yahoo Group, there are a couple of challenges going on and a Mingle, there is a Mingle each month, after signing up has finished you get assigned a partner and you send each other a card, have taken part 3 times now, it is so much fun, if you like this idea you should come and join the group, they are a wonderful bunch of ladies.
A close up of Lili, I used special effects on her eyes, lips, knee pads and scooter. The sun charm has written on the back "Made with a Smile".

A close up the flowers I made, sat last night with needle and thread and ribbons and just messed and this is what I came up with, must say I am quite pleased with them, don't know what to call them. Didn't have peach in my stash so shall just have to go shopping lol! Going to buy some white and have a go at colouring with my copics, should be fun!

My First Copic Challenge with Inky Lili

Hi all, hope you are all having a great weekend or about to start to depending from where you are in the world. This is my first Copic Challenge and I was so pleased that I had all three colours BG15, R20 & E00, Sammi has set up a new Challenge Blog called Mad for Markers as well as opening an online store here in Australia for us Copic Addicts and to celebrate her first challenge the wonderful prize is a set of 36 Copic Ciao Markers WOW! For international entries there is a lovely gift voucher for Tracey's new digi store Spesch, anyway enough waffle here is my entry below, using one of my Inky Impressions Stamps, just so love these girls, one are two more should be crossing my doorstep any day soon. Decided to to a shaped flower card, my cutting skills are not the best so did a little distressing lol! Got the sewing machine out but I think it got a little confused with the zig zag and as you know not like sewing material I couldn't unpick and start again.
Couldn''t decide which photo was best
Coloured some whisper white with BG15 and then punched with my Martha Stewart Punch, then used stickles to sparkle and pearl embellishments. The little butterflies are an image that I coloured and wasn't happy so I punched little butterflies and stickled their bodies, so been a little sticky today.
Isn't Lili just adorable with her cute bunny,
A close up of one of the butterflies

A butterfly charm with yellow ribbon, also used special effects for the hairband, butterfly, eyes, cheeks, nails and bunnies teeth.
