Magnolia Wiper Card

Hi all, Now don't be shocked, challenged myself to be lots more blingy and flowery (not easy lol). So not easy using grey either but here you are pink and grey, was lucky to have a coffee and a play at my friends Emma's in the week (got a pass to go in late) we got our touch markers together and Emma got some Copic sketch markers, which are so different to my touch markers, so went for a play and coloured this lovely image as you can see still need to practice. My wish list is made!!
This is the second wiper card I have made and this one is huge, hubby wants to know why make a card that can't fit in an ordinary envelope!! Hand stitched the flower using SU ribbons, added the heart button with silver metallic embroidery thread for the middle. The gorgeous roses are my new purchase from Bizzy Becs, then placed them on flowers from my stash that I kindyglitz the bottom layer, there are two layers plus the rose. Machined stitched various papers and distressed edges. Also used my new Distress Stickles - Brushed Pewter for the balloon and her wings, from Susana's Store. Please see my Sidebar for links to these stores, Bec and Susana are such lovely ladies to deal with. All cardstock and dsp SU. For 1, 2, 3 challenges, 1 gorgeous image or 1 handmade flower, 2 matching layered flowers on the very left or two hearts on Tilda's pockets, 3 little bud roses in the leaf ribbon or 3 beaded hearts to the very left or 3 dsp, then I went onto 4 beautiful layered roses lol.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #29

Hi all, never got time to post this challenge for Magnolia Down Under Challenge #29 - Stamp with another use, over Christmas, lucky it doesn't finish till 17th January. Not sure what this lovely image was for in the begining so hopefully using it for anniversary has changed it's use. Had so much fun creating these icing ornaments, this one was for hubby for our 13th Wedding Anniversay (27th Dec), got the original idea out of the New Magnolia Ink Magazine available in Kellie's store. Have used dazzling diamonds and the little hard balls for decorating cakes (not such a good idea as they have cracked). Stickles and my favourate heart brads and the gorgeous ribbon from Spotlight. Just a little tricky creating the purple colouring for the icing, had to go back to the basics with my primary colours that got the brain ticking over LOL!

MDUSS#1, MDUC@26, A spoon full of sugar, Quixotic's #2

Hi all, Yippee finally finished my Magnolia Down Under Store Challenge #1 - which was to make a card/creation using at least one Magnolia Stamp from the "Yummy for My Tummy" range, also managed to combine it with Kellie's Magnolia Down Under Sketch Challenge #26, I have inked my newly purchased Magnolia stamps Chef Tilda and Kitchen and most of the papers are Magnolia, all bought from Kellie's Magnolia Shop.
Not for blowing my own trumpet but I am pleased with this sketch as I usually use more bold colours, so got to be one of my first pastel creations.

The ribbon I purchased from Bizzy Bec's just love it over an inch wide. Flower and kitchen charms from my stash. I thought this made a lovely scene so have entered A Spoon full of Sugar #77 - "Create a Scene".

I distressed all the papers doesn't show up too much in the photo, which qualified for Just Magnolias challenge - Distressing

I hand stitched around the edge using a pale pink embroidery thread, I know it isn't very straight but I don't have the fancy gadget, just a ruler. Which happens to fit in with Quixotic's Challenge #2 - Stitching, which could be a card, tag, altered item, etc. I am so pleased with the way the dresser came out I started to colour in browns but just knew it had to be purple. Added a few glasses to the dresser, using Special Effects. Had to go back to my SU markers with blender pen as I don't have pastel purple Copics or Touchmarkers for colouring in, but used touchmarkers for the hair.

The jars have homemade Blackberry Jelly and Raspberry Jam, (specially made by Granny), put speical effects on the jars, when I put everything together felt there was something missing so made my own little Magnolia picture. My sketch is the inside of the Kaisercraft recipe box I had in my head needed to be made (not my brightest of ideas). Took ages to paint (twice).
Put all the necessary paper on, then for the first time typed the sentiment on the computer (big smiles) I was going to put photos in the side frames, but just couldn't pick out four.
Anyway went to put the box together last night and guess what it would not go together, the tabs wouldn't fit in the holes etc etc. So had to go to work with me today and I filed all the tabs, then had to file the edges and still disapointed as it is not square (not my filing) so not too impressed with this kit project. Then I had to touch up the paint after dusting it down. Just love that blueberry and peachy paper.

MDU25, MMSC25, SSCC10, SSS, SSHP5 & FBW#81

Hi all, What a busy day, but managed to get away from work, sweetly smiling at hubby, Yes he took the children and dog to the beach, I put the bird outside, bliss no noise, so got to play for a couple of hours, so wanted to have a go a chalking after Guest Design Diva Linda did a tutorial on 'How to Chalk an Image'. Got to say my pastels from my SU Kit were still wrapped as I didn't know how to use them so thank you Linda! Though must say still need to practice but fairly pleased with my first attempt.
Got hubby to take the first picture while we still had daylight as I had halloween to do with the children, wasn't till I came to load realised he has missed off my stressing! How stressing is that! So took another picture posted both as the colour changes from Purple to Blue. Managed to cover six challenges with this card named in order of finding challenges, first Magnolia Down Under Challenge#25 stressing had to be used in your project, second Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #25 as shown below:

The third, Stampin Sisters in Christ #10, to make a card that expresses your thankfulness for someone or something they have done, or that encourages someone to be thankful, my sentiment is inside, I had a go at writing it myself as I didn't have a stamp that said what I wanted to say (this is below) as you can see I need more practise in that area too, keep telling hubby I shall have to give up work, not going for it though lol!
Fourth, Flutter By Wednesday #81, to create a card with a butterfly or fairy on it, Fifth, Simon Says Challenge, All that Sparkles, so add glitter, pearls, ribbons, stickles (which I just got today), first time for this challenge. Final Challenge just discovered today thanks to Chris, went to leave a comment on her lovely projects and found this challenge Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential #5 - In so many words, to use words within your project.

Recipe: SU Cardstock Lovely Lilac, Whisper White and pastels. Sponged the edges of the cardstock on the front
My new Stickles - Purple
Kayaz handmade paper (the circles) so pleased when I found this as I don't have a cuttlebug/big kick. Yet LOL
The ribbons, embellishments out of my stash.

Many thanks for looking, have a great weekend, happy crafting and take careX:)

MDUC22 and Creatalicious Challenge 2

Hi all again, finally got a chance to do these challenges today, must say the idea of a jigsaw came from my son, we were sat having our evening meal, discussing school etc and I said I needed to create anything but a card, Morgan pipes up a jigsaw (which we used to do when they were little), so a jigsaw it is, so have used this beautiful Magnolia stamp (lent to me by Emma).

This first challenge is the Magnolia Down Under Challenge #22, anything but a card and the second challenge is the Creatalicious Challenge #2 which is a colour combination, using pink or plum with burgundy and green and add, lace, ribbon or fibre.

So coloured our Magnolia image in Pefect Plum, Pale Plum, Bravo Burgundy and Handsome Hunter, used crystal effects on the boots, my new kindyglitz for the wings and hat. The used some Very Vanilla and stamped the flower image from my Stampin Up Good Egg set. Used dimensional to put the magnolia on the background.

Morgan then scanned the image and made it bigger, I then glued it to some very vanilla cardstock and cut into jigsaw shape pieces.
Not sure what to call the box as I made this up, using Stampin Up Cardstock, Handsome Hunter and Bravo Burgundy, with some organza ribbon I had. I have made the box so it could be hung on a Christmas tree as a decoration.
Thanks for looking, happy crafting, take care, Annette X:)

SSCC4 & Paige

Hi all, finally got a little crafting done today, been trying to make a card for Paige for sometime but not really sure what to do, she is a 13 year old girl who has lost her arm in a boating incident, Erin has set up a challenge for crafters to send well wishes to this young girl, read all about it on Erin's blog, she has also a blog candy going too! Secondly I wanted to try the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #4, which was to use the sketch below:

I have used Stampin Up paper from my Simple Sent Card Elements Kit, Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, More Mustard and Whisper White, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter (wings) and Crystal effects (hearts and hair tie). Various Brads and Ribbons. The magnolia was stamped at my friend's Emma.

Divalicious Colour challenge #1 and Magnolia Down Under Challenge #20

Hi all, finally combined two challenges, so feeling pretty pleased with myself. First challenge was the Magnolia Down Under Challenge #20, create a Father's Day Card using any Magnolia image, this cute image came from the talented Debbie P at stamp camp, now hubby says the card is too girly, but every picture tells a story and the story is my dad spent a lot of time with my daughter talking about rabbits and designing her bunny hutch (it had to have an upstairs). Then a full weekend making it with her, though when I called in, it looked like she was the foreperson and my poor dad was the workman, but the point being they had a fantastic time. So this is Rosanna in disguise and Charlotte (one of the bunnies).

I have combined it using the Divalicious Colour Challenge #1. This challenge is open till 31st August 09.
Barely Banana, Cameo Coral, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie.
You should go and visit another talented lady Kellie, she has decided to sponsor the Magnolia Down Under Challenge #20.

Delicious Diva's 1st Challenge

Hi all, thought I would have a go at Delicious Diva's 1st Challenge, created by the talented Kellie and Kristy, not quite what I had in mind, think I should have had the papers more equal, pleased with Tilda (which my friend Emma let me stamp off). Sorry for the quality of picture took tonight, the ribbon and papers are you guessed it shades of purple but, they look blue. The challenge finishes tomorrow so I am a little last minute. The sentiment says 'one person can make such a difference and that person is you'.
Thanks for looking, happy crafting, take care X:)
