BUTTERNUT SAGE CONTEST $100.00 & M & M's

Hi All, Quick post as it is DH's Birthday and still got things to do!! Donna over at Butternut Sage is hosting a contest where she has asked that you create a card using her style. How pretty does the $100 note look nestled with M & M's then wrapped in beautiful ribbon!

Now Donna's creations have a unique style of their own, I think it is elegant, crisp, simple (in the nicest way) and not fussy, which makes them very striking! There is usually some sort of embossing too! She also does some fantastic tutorials!! One of my favourate cards is using the Forest Friends Stamp Sets, this is more or less copied except for the different embossed background (thanks Debbie, my stamp camp buddy) my birthday is in a few months so have been dropping many hints to DH for Big Shot, keep your fingers crossed! Then I used special effects on Rudolph's nose.

The second is a frame fold card, tutorial here, now have changed this one as needed a bigger frame which then didn't leave much room on the card, but I wanted to use this stamp from the SU Close to Nature, originally I used special effects on the white areas of the cone to highlight the snow but ended up with brown snow lol, may try my flower flock! All dsp/papers etc are SU. Thanks Donna I have now started my Christmas cards.
Please take a visit to Butternut Sage, make sure you have a cuppa tea, coffee or a glass of wine depending what time you visit lol!
Edited sorry looks a little messed up was perfect in the preview, had the two rudolphs side by side, this is the best I can do without losing something, very frustrating!!! Just seen the time too off to the bus stop to pick R & M up. Then its party time for DH, nothing too wild there will only be the four of us lol! See you tomorrow with my Doodle Palace Sneak Peak.
Thanks for visiting, happy crafting, take careX:)
