Our first main stop was at Kennett River to have a drink/snack and see the birds and koalas, what a surprise we got when this parrot landed on Rosanna's head lol!

This is another one and he took a little bit of biscuit from me
How cute is this fella, we were so lucky to see him move around, though we did have neckache from looking up for so long lol!

Uncle William wanted a silly photo lol!

How blue is that ocean?

The Twelve Apostles, or what is remaining of them

Warm Wishes Tia Non Traditional colour Christmas Card with Shrink Plastic Sentiment

Hi all, hope you are all well, running a little late, the camera was at work, took the card into work and couldn't find the cable to connect to the computer, so brought her back home again lol!  Today for my inspiration post over on the Mad for Markers Store Blog I have used the gorgeous Some Odd Girls Stamp 'Warm Wishes Tia'  set which comes with a cute penguin, sentiments and presents, now available from Sammi.  She is coloured with some of my new favourate copic colours.   Kindyglitz Glitter around the edges and in places on embossed background, which is metallic card.

A closer look at all the sparkle, she was also sprayed with glimmermist after I cut her out and glossy accents on eyes, bell and shoes.

Had a little play with the shrink plastic as I had an idea to make a tag/label using it and this is some of what I came up with, on the card I coloured the edge with Copic V09 and punched a hole for the twine.  Below are a few different variations, if you click on the photo, you can see the writing is very clear.  Need some different coloured inks pads now.

Papers are mainly Kasiercraft from the 'Dear Santa Collection'.  Sentiment SU 'Many Merry Messages'.

Purple Pumpkin Huge Giveaway, Bogey and Barbie Jelly (Jelly and Yoghourt) for you Stacie

Hi all

Just had to let you know about this Mother and Daughter blog I follow and have bought a few goodies from, but you do have to be quick lol!  They are having a huge giveaway of vouchers ($100's worth) to purchase goodies from their next sale on 18th November, here is a sample of some of the goodies they sell.

How cute are those buttons and so pretty are the doilies and flowers

Full details here

Now for a little fun, this post is for Stacie one of my blogging buddies.  Stacie posts about what she has been making each week and couple of weeks ago she posted about yoghourt cake which led me to telling her about yoghourt jelly.  She wanted the recipe, so had to make it as I don't usually measure it lol!  Edward's Aunty Nan introduced them to Bogey Jelly first (Lime and Natural Yoghourt), then Barbie Jelly (raspberry or strawberry with Yoghourt).  As you can image the kids loved it.

First dissolve the jelly using a cup and a half of boiling water (approx 300-320ml), varies with different jelllies, but do not add the extra cold water.

Then add approx two cups (500ml) of vanilla yoghourt

This is what it will like, but keep mixing I use the spoon but you could you a whisk

Will look like this, you will still have the odd small lump of yoghourt

This is the raspberry jelly

Place in the fridge for approx 4 hours and it sets, beautiful with fruit, ice-cream etc, it is really nice to have on a hot summers day, hope you give it a try, let me know what you think.

Now off to do more in the garden, will show some photos soon, really pleased witht the pavers/flags we laid, working on another path today so think of me shovelling stones off the ute lol!  Still haven't lost any weight:(
Thanks for stopping by, hope you are all well and happy crafting, enjoy the rest of your weekend, take careX:)

Zoe Celebrates Easel Card

Hi all, having a wettish weekend here, housework is done, so finally had time play and have another go at colouring a scene using Copics.  I have used the gorgeous image 'Zoe Celebrates' available from Make It Crafty.  I borrowed Morgan's jeans from the ironing pile and added some colourless blender and pressed on the jeans of the image to get a denim effect, also used an old pair of Rosanna's PJ's with the colourless blender and pressed in various places on the sky.

Did have trouble with the grass couldn't make my mind up what colour looked best so there is a little bit of everything in there lol!  Now DH says it is all too bright but I kinda like it.  Decided she looks very happy, like she has just won the races (Melbourne cup here in Oz this weekend).

The flowers are hand drawn using multiliners 0.3 green and 0.1 black.

The Happy Birthday chip board was sprayed with copics then clear spica added and then special effects.

The butterflies are from my MS border punch (these are the bits that should be thrown away but I am a hoarder lol) and then added liquid pearls for the body.  The rhinestones (bottom of the tulips) have been coloured using copic YG09.

The flower has been handmade using organza ribbon (think thats what you call it) with a rhinestone brad centre.

Papers Kaisercraft La-Di-Da and SU cardstock.   The cute tortoise ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.

The rhinestones are coloured using copics too.

The edges have been sponges using SU Orchid Opulence and Lovely Lilac, I used the Pansy Martha Stewart Punch on purple card then lined the back with yellow card and cut around the pansy shape so I had a coloured centre and finished with rhinestones.

Handbag/Purse Invitations for Rosanna's Birthday, Copic Conference Photos and Grannies 87th Birthday

Hi All, where did last month go!!!

First just got to wish my Mum in Law A WONDERFUL 87TH BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGARET, HIP HIP HURRAY!!XXXX

Just had the most FANTASTIC weekend at the Copic Conference in Sydney, took Rosanna and boy did we have fun, laughed so much my sides hurt, ate way too much yummy food, fortunately my trousers were stretchy lol!  And had so much crafty fun!  Was lovely to colour again without the stress of work, cleaning etc!!!  Though that didn't last long when I got back home lol!

Finally got these invitations finished ready for Rosanna's Birthday sleepover on Saturday, so another weekend with very little sleep lol!  These have been created on shiny/metallic cardstock.  I made up the design myself, if anybody is interested I have made a few notes and would be happy to do make a tutorial, just let me know.

Had to make a keepsake for Rosanna (also the guinea pig lol!)  I pleated the ribbon around the edges, and part copic coloured the very edge but we decided we liked the edge as it was!  Kindyglitz the edge of the purse, the flap and swirlled it on the ribbon.  Cream pearl beaded ribbon for the handle. Pearls and rhinestones for decoration.

A different background to show the kindyglitz sparkle and embellishments, 'Rosanna' is written using an Ice White Liquid Pearls Pen

A close up of one of the copic coloured rhinestones

Just had to have a purple one lol!

The invite on SU Vanilla card stock and punched edges

All ten purses and all unique as Rosanna picked the cardstock and said here mum these are the colours, so has been fun matching embellishments lol!

Finally finished the bolero and fundraising for Lyndall and Alopecia

Hi all, where does the time go!!!  Hope you are all well.  Still no card making in my free time I have been knitting and FINALLY finished Rosanna's Bolero/cardigan, not the fastest of knitters lol!  Got it finished in time for her to go out to a party on Saturday night.

On my beautiful DD

A closer look at the knitted lacey edge, I think I should have stretched it more when sewing it to the cardigan, was going to undo it but Rosanna likes it how it is PHEW!

FUNDRAISERS

Whilst trying to catch up on blogging (a couple of weeks ago, sorry for not getting posted sooner) I visited the gorgeous Cheryl's blog and read about a lovely lady called Lyndall who is battling Cancer yet again!! Cheryl is organising a fundraiser event, if you could send Lyndall a card or would like to help with the fundraiser evening, please go see Cheryl's post for full details and whilst there have a look at her beautiful creations.

Lyndall and her three year old son

This is the link to the fundraising blog where you can also buy some fantastic digi's that are for sale.

Also Mandy on her blog 'A Sprinkling of Glitter' has some blogaversary candy and surprise candy also to people who send Lyndall a card.

Also over on Kellie's blog I read about Heidi (her five year old daughter) and herself having their hair chopped to raise funds for Alopecia.

More garden news for those who are interested.  This is why I haven't got much crafting done lol!

Finally got all the sand down and the boys had fun using the wacker to make it firmer, added more stone/rocks and changed the colour of the path, put some flags down but found when we put the different colours together they are slightly different in size, so having to start again and leave a 2mm gap on some and not on others, gonna be fun lol!

Enjoy the rest of your week, happy crafting and take careX:)

Our Crafting Day out and the garden

Hi all

Hope you are all well, sorry for being AWOL, but things have been busy here (not complaining nice to have the work at the factory) then been doing more gardening whilst the ground is soft lol!  Paving is next on the list so we have all been busy drawing the pattern of the flags, we are going with a checker board made bigger so snakes and ladders can be played and I may have a butterfly pattern under the washing line.  Definately not enough hours in the day LOL!  So been too tired to craft.

Rosanna and I had a day out and went to the Craft and Quilting Show in Melbourne, FANTASTIC day we had so many talented people out there.  We each took three classes, the first we made these very blingy watches, bet you know whose is whose lol!  I then had a go at beading (first time) quite chuffed managed this much of a Lariat necklace, while Rosanna made a T-Shirt Bag, then she made a beautiful bookmark and I went and made the T-Shirt Bag, we managed a little bit of shopping too, we have decided next year we definately have to go for two days at least!
