Sneak Peak Birthday Sheep and Chicken

Hi all, just a quick post as I have another to do which should have been done yesterday, but time got away on me. The two images on release this week (tomorrow) are Birthday Sheep and Birthday Chicken, so I decided to have the chicken coming out of the box, 'birthday surprise', I coloured them using copics. Next week will be my last week as a Doodle Palace Princess.

Here is a close up, just gone over a little with the red lol! But this is really small lol!

Please visit the other Doodle Palace Princesses tomorrow to see their wonderful creations.

Our challenge this week is create a birthday card using the colours of your flag, so please come and join us if you can.

Doodle Palace sneak peak Birthday Cow

Hi all, the latest new release at Doodle Palace is 'Birthday Cow' and 'Marshmallows and Hotdogs', I have to show you 'Birthday Cow' and thought they would be perfect on party straws to take away as gifts (one of my other addictions is Tupperware and the pink straws are Whistling Straws I bought a while back, they are fantastic and they go through the dishwasher!) So we have a pink, blue and of course a Purple decorated straw! The sparkly purple straw is a normal straw, Rosanna said we needed one on a ordinary straw too!
These cuties are coloured using my copics available from Sammi at Mad for Markers.

Now we made a Milkshake (seemed only appropriate), does it look a little purple lol! Can't say how fast I had to take this photo as R & E were eager to drink!! He He!!

Our challenge this week is to 3d your image, (layering or popping it up), so if you come and join us over at the palace, there are always two winners who get to choose two digital images from the Doodle Palace Store. Please come visit the palace tomorrow to see what the other Doodle Palace Princesses have created.

Could only find one one Challenge out of the challenges I normally try to enter and that is

By The Cute and Girly Challenge - Celebrations

Sneak Peak for Doodle Palace - 'Painting Eggs'

Hi all, very quick post as should be on my way out the door, totally got my days mixed up seem to have lost a day, thats what having the children off school does to you LOL! Couldn't get a good photo last night. Anyway today I would like to introduce to you 'Painting Eggs' this cute image is available from the Doodle Palace, how cute is this reminded me when we used to hard boil eggs with the children then Easter Weekend we used to go the Hoad Monument and there used to be loads of people letting the eggs roll down the hill trying to see whose would get to the bottom without being to bashed up, great fun!
Created two cards one each for Rosanna and Morgan, couldn't resist trying to colour a purple bunny, not sure if I got it right! I followed our sketch challenge from last week (which I missed lol). But this week our challenge is to have the colour black on your creation.

Originally I coloured in some eggs to use at the top and then thought it would be more fun to have proper chocolate!
Hope to be back tonight to catch up on the Inky Girls Blog Hop and see who got through to the first round in The Greeting Farm Contest.

Thanks for visiting, happy crafting, take careX:)

Our Challenge at the Doodle Palace this week is weaving, please come over and see what the other Doodle Princesses have to show tomorrow.

SNEAK PEAK Doodle Palace

Hi all, it's Tuesday again and time for a peak at this weeks Digital Image from Doodle Palace, first we have Bear, Rabbit and Chicks, arent they just adorable, just had to have purple bear lol, you know how I struggle photographing purple hence not the best of pics, coloured using my touchmarkers and all dsp and card SU.

Secondly 'Where the Easter Bunny Lives' another cute bunny, materials as above. Couldn't resist the sentiment lol.
Please go check our my DT Doodle Princesses tommorow to see what wonderful creations they have come up with.

Not had much time for crafting, been getting frustrated, Rosanna wants to get more involved in challenges etc so have been setting up a blog for her, which has caused allsorts of problems with mine, you know me not being to computer literate. Only just got through most of the changes to mine (with hubbies help, when I could get it) and still not finished. Hopefully her first post will be soon, we ran out of time tonight, Morgan had his teacher/parent meeting and we decided to have a drive around Bacchus Marsh then had a lovely evening tea so been very spoilt tonight as meeting was everything we needed to hear. Lets hope it stays like that!!

Sneak Peak Doodle Palace

Hi all, time for another realise of digi images from Doodle Palace, the first image I have used is The Easter Cross, I had this idea to make a bookmark, so I cut around the shape after colouring, not telling you how many lilies or crosses I coloured, just not enough shades in my touchmarkers, so out came my watercolouring pencils and blender pen for the cross, placed onto Metallique Sculptured Paper - crazed, then onto Very Vanilla (SU), Sentiment (SU), laminated then added some lovely ribbon.

The lilies turned out much better using watercolours, distressed the edges, sponged and placed on SU dsp and Tangerine Orange.
Now this is the start of a new family of images starting with Chibi Kid, so thought great idea to turn them into Easter parcels, that the Easter Bunny can hide, so below are three samples,

Sorry photos are not the best doesn't work in the sun, out the sun or in the house!! Must get a fancy box. I reversed the image on this chibi and placed her on a pouch parcel, (she did have a friend) my daughter wanted to colour her and unfortunately ended up with black streaks, and I didn't have time to print another off. So please pop over to Doodle Palace and check out the other DT's work (Wednesday) and find out what our new challenge is.

Thanks for visiting, happy crafting, take careX:)

SECOND SNEAK PEAK - Lovey Dovey Bears - Doodle Palace

Hi all, this is the second new release from Doodle Palace called Lovey Dovey Bears and I just love them, have been in the mood for using bright colours and this is what I same up with, not sure if I have got it right but I like it. I used my CM Heart Cutting System for the hearts, then distressed all edges which was a shame as I got them cut very neat this time but wanted to distress. Used SU In Color cardstock and ribbon, think the ribbon was a little wide for such a small bow. Used special effects on the rose, shoe buckles, flowers on dress, eyes and nose. Now you may ask a blue rose, have created this for some special friends overseas who will be celebrating their 45th Wedding Anniversay in April which is Amethyst, which is blue LOL. Also sponging and stamping as you can see.
Just realised I have not got the bottom of the card in, it has a flat edge which is also distressed.

The Challenge at Doodle Palace this week is to create a card using scoring, there are links to various tutorials.

FIRST SNEAK PEAK Chester Bunny for Doodle Palace

Hi all, this a new release called Chester Bunny for Doodle Palace, isn't he just so cute!!! Have coloured using my touchmarkers, used my new sparkly fluff for the tail Champagne Glitz stickles (from Susana's Store, link in my sidebar), also special effects for the eyes, nose and teeth.

I have used kitchen roll, so been wanting to use this on a project, kept some in my craft drawer, also got some gorgeous purple patterned kitchen roll and toilet roll, saving for another project. This fits in with the challenge to use a household item. Not the easiest of items to stitch!!! SU cardstock and dsp, punched flowers with kindyglitz and rhinestones.
Found the idea for this Easter Goodie Holder over on Alison's blog, check this girl out she has some wonderful projects to try out.

Finally butterflies with kindyglitz and pearl embellishments.
This is a piece of the kitchen roll, how pretty is that!

SNEAK PEAK - Doodle Palace

Hi all, this is a sneak peak of one of the new release Digital images at Doodle Palace, male cards are definately not easy for me, but thought I would challenge myself!
I used grit 60 sandpaper for the sand effect, SU cardstock for everything else, the sentiment is sponged with only orange and yellow yoyo (sun effect), didn't matter how many pics I took, still looks brown. This card has been made for a friend who has just got the all clear, so definately cause for celebrating. Now hubby tells me I have a freshwater fishing rod for sea water (not that he has done much fishing), just think he likes to tease LOL!! Used kindyglitz along the edge of the sandpaper and special effects on boots, catch and rod.

Doodle Palace have a new challenge - lots of layers, so please come and join us if you can.

Challenges

Rosie D #64 - Just for Men
ABC 'N' - New (new digi image and sandpaper)

My First card as a DT for Doodle Palace

Hi all, here is my first card as a Doodle Palace Princess, I decided to choose the Toad image, did colour him darker originally but wasn't too keen so I coloured him lighter and Rosanna said looks more like a frog, anyway I think he is kinda cute, he will be available to purchase at Digital Doodle, please check out Dee and Robin's, wonder digitals images starting from only 99 cents.
I used touchmarkers to colour him and special effects to highlight parts of him also used on the waves along the bottom. The beautiful lily was a stencil we bought many years ago to decorate our bathroom and changed our minds, at least it has been used now, the lily is sponged using SU inks, also sponged around the edge. Please check out the other talented Princesses.

Couldn't decide which was best

Hi all, oh I am soooooooo excited, yes I have been skipping again much to Morgan's amusement, hubby is just rolling his head LOL! I have been asked to be a member of the New Design Team at Doodle Palace, so I am now a Doodle Palace Princess (think I could fit Purple in there LOL, quite like the sound of Doodle Palace Purple Princess) Oh I have so been bursting to tell you all since Dee and Robin (designers of these gorgeous doodles) emailed me last Monday, yes last Monday had to keep mum for just over a week, didn't think I was going to make it LOL! Couldn't believe my eyes, thought it was a 'no job' still can't believe it GDT one week, then becoming a Princess the next, just so loving this wonderful crafting/blogging journey, you are all amazing wonderful ladies and so love spending this time in Cyber world with you all. I have listed all the new DT in my side bar, we will be starting on Wednesday with our first projects, I hope to give you a sneak peak soon, if hubby doesn't work me too hard LOL! Been very busy at work (only had time for my DT card) but, fantastic all our boxes tested to 10.5 bar with no leaks, fantastic news too! Got to be worth some new crafting supplies, some copics, would like to try distress inks too, oh the list is endless as I am sure many of yours are too LOL!

Also busy getting Rosanna and Morgan ready for their new school, only remembered (Saturday) hadn't taken their blazer sleeves up and thought I was so organised LOL! Anyway at time of writing they have had a wonderful day at school! Although Morgan wasn't too impressed with getting homework first day back.

Was going to try and schedule this for first thing in this morning but forgot to change the time when I first started posting and then it wouldn't copy and paste into another post, do any of you bloggers know what I am doing wrong or is this how it is? Much appreciated if anyone can help.

Guest Designer Challenge at Doodle Palace

Hi all, Oh boy can't tell you how excited I am, here is what I created for my Guest Designer Post at Doodle Palace this week. This is my First Easel Card placed on top of my first four drawer box, also new for me Yes my FIRST GT position!! Oh perhaps I mentioned that LOL! So I thought NEW was appropriate for the challenge, you can also use a NEW technique, use something NEW or NEW born baby theme, entirely up to you, I have used the USS Ark Digi Image created by Dee, it is coloured using my touchmarkers/copics, I paper toled the duck, giraffe and sheep, not too clear in the photo but the heart dsp is behind the giraffe dsp, so there is a row of hearts all round.
I have stitched around the edges, embellishments, flowers, flower brads are from my stash. The rhinestone brads and ribbon are Stampin Up. I found a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers by Beate Johns, then discovered this talented lady Kirsten for the four drawer box, not to blow my own trumpet but fairly pleased with how this turned out, not easy when not using purple LOL! Just lately everything has been Pink. Our friends daughter is expecting a baby any day now, so hopefully I have guessed right or I shall be back to making a blue card LOL.

Tried to get a side view

I will be showing a couple around our coaster campervan tonight so(keep your fingers crossed we sell). Our neighbours had a little boy yesterday and they have named him Zac, so whipped this up today, now for those that follow will think where was the first easel card, can't show you yet, but had so much fun had to make another, could not believe how easy they are to do. The image is from Doodle Palace, just adorable. I have used my favourate colouring medium Touch Markers and my only two copics (all say or poor thing) LOL! There is special effects on the tyres, elephants trunk, the birdy and eyes, also on some of the polka dots, just not too clear.
Distressed and sponged around the image, brads in the corners. All the dsp and ribbon were in my scrap box, sentiment from my stash.

A Toucan of My Love

Hi all, just look at this Toucan isn't he just cheeky looking, I got this as one of my prizes from Doodle Palace, pop over and see what fantastic doodles Dee and Robin have in their store, when I saw him, just had to have him, hubby loves Toucans. The challenge was pet themed, flowers, glitter, hearts and rhinestones for a Valentine, just realised when loading pictures no glitter, sorry! I have taken the pet theme to mean animal/bird, so hope thats o.k. Not to sure on my colouring of the Toucan not an easy task.

Here's a close up I have used special effects on his eye and upper beak, didn't have too many heart and flower rhinestones so used what I had and then made up with the other flowers (don't what they are called, just in my stash, I used 3d kindyglitz for the centre of the flowers and managed to smudge one! Don't think hubby will notice. Used green fluffy ribbon for the handle and threaded red hearts on and made the sentiment. Then filled with hubbies fav treat Raffaello (he calls them coconut jobbies) bit like ferrero rochers but, white chocolate and coconut. Don't know what to call the goodie holder just made it up by wrapping dsp around a square base. Tried to create a rainforest background and the flowers are imitation orchids LOL!
