Inky Impressions Easel Card Challenge

Hi all, for our new Inky Impressions Challenge  we would like you to make an easel card, now you know how much I love my Easel cards, decided I needed to have a go at a side/twist easel.

I have used the cute Inky Image 'Lili's Stuffed Bunny', which was one of my first images I bought, at the start of  my Inky obsession lol!  Now not sure if I have the twist right but this is my version lol!

Now this is very, very ribbony and flowery for me and so not sure I have got the mix right!  Now if you look closely at the butterfly buttons their embroidery thread antenna have stickles on the ends, DD said this helped them look more like butterflies lol!  The papers are Kaisercraft La-Di-Da Collection, love the colours.  The little butterflies are from my MS border punch and a cute little bunny charm.  No guesses who wants this card for her 14th Birthday lol!

A closer look at Glimmer Misted Lili with her Bunny, also got the sewing machine out and stitched around the outer edges, used some green dewdrops on the flowers.
A photo of the side  view stamped the inside using a SU stamp

The flowers are all hand stitched, my poor thumb got stabbed a few times! Have used a sparkly button and brads for centres, some of the brads are coloured using Copics.  Finally used my SU leaves sizzlits Little Leaves die

Magnolia Wiper Card

Hi all, Now don't be shocked, challenged myself to be lots more blingy and flowery (not easy lol). So not easy using grey either but here you are pink and grey, was lucky to have a coffee and a play at my friends Emma's in the week (got a pass to go in late) we got our touch markers together and Emma got some Copic sketch markers, which are so different to my touch markers, so went for a play and coloured this lovely image as you can see still need to practice. My wish list is made!!
This is the second wiper card I have made and this one is huge, hubby wants to know why make a card that can't fit in an ordinary envelope!! Hand stitched the flower using SU ribbons, added the heart button with silver metallic embroidery thread for the middle. The gorgeous roses are my new purchase from Bizzy Becs, then placed them on flowers from my stash that I kindyglitz the bottom layer, there are two layers plus the rose. Machined stitched various papers and distressed edges. Also used my new Distress Stickles - Brushed Pewter for the balloon and her wings, from Susana's Store. Please see my Sidebar for links to these stores, Bec and Susana are such lovely ladies to deal with. All cardstock and dsp SU. For 1, 2, 3 challenges, 1 gorgeous image or 1 handmade flower, 2 matching layered flowers on the very left or two hearts on Tilda's pockets, 3 little bud roses in the leaf ribbon or 3 beaded hearts to the very left or 3 dsp, then I went onto 4 beautiful layered roses lol.

My First Machine Stitched Card

Hi all, what a busy day today, gardened, cleaned and got the washing dry in minutes due to the heat we are having hear in OZ. So thought time to play so wanted to have a go at stitching a card always love the effect I have seen on others peoples creations, so sits at the machine and realise I don't have a stitch that makes crosses, so played around and this is what I came up with. Oh and look girls no PURPLE! Have entered this in K L Stampin Challenge, Pink, Black and a Neutral (I choose White). I have Kindyglitz all the holly and the fluffy lace trim and used Special Effects on the snowglobe, bells and berries.
Also new to me I have decorated the inside pages and used my Crop A Dile, now I know I need a little more practice with the stitching but on the quiet I am quite pleased with the card, as black is not a colour I would choose to use and have used it twice now!
All paper/cardstock are Stampin Up, which I am sure most of you will know I have resigned in October as I didn't wish to sign the new agreement, very disappointed! Image is from MO's Digital the crochet flower I got when I was at stamp camp from the lovely Alison, another thing I am going to have a go at LOL, got the thread and the crochet hook, just need to mess.
Challenges Entered

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #35 - to the right

Cute Card Thursday #94- Create a card using something new
JUGS #15 - A technique Challenge - Add Stitching to your project
Crazy 4 Challenges #19 - Birthday Theme
KL Stampin #2 - Pink Black and Neutral
I am interpreting that love didn't necessarily mean your beau, made this in mind for my daughter's birthday (starting early), so hopefully haven't broken any rules.
Finally girls you remember that lovely craft desk hubby got me, still trying to set it up, but someone has taken over, the pretence being to spend more time at home with his family over the hols he brought his main computer from work home that has his drawing package on. So I am still working at the dining table LOL!

Got to dash hubby gone for the Indian Takeaway, he will only frown if I am still on here LOL!

Many thanks for looking, happy crafting, wishing you all a fantastic 2010, take care AnnetteX:)

Snow Many Challenges

Hi all, try to make this brief, firstly I heat embossed the snowflake onto Elegant Eggplant cardstock, which was to create your own masterboard/paper. Then I coloured in Holly the Fairy a digital image from Mo's Digital Shop, so love this image! She is coloured using a mixture of copics and markers, her wings are a mixture of special effects and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, special effects has been used on the bells and holly in her hair and on her dress, I also paper toled the lace on her dress. I then hand stitched round the edges and added little metal bells and beads. Then used various ribbons etc., just so love the snowball ribbon and the purple edged ribbon has a gorgeous sequins edge, finishing with a metal snowflake. All the edges on the cardstock have been distressed and I sponged the edges of the cardstock that has Holly on. Took loads of pics but really struggled with the light. Will see if I can improve on it tomorrow.

MDUSS#1, MDUC@26, A spoon full of sugar, Quixotic's #2

Hi all, Yippee finally finished my Magnolia Down Under Store Challenge #1 - which was to make a card/creation using at least one Magnolia Stamp from the "Yummy for My Tummy" range, also managed to combine it with Kellie's Magnolia Down Under Sketch Challenge #26, I have inked my newly purchased Magnolia stamps Chef Tilda and Kitchen and most of the papers are Magnolia, all bought from Kellie's Magnolia Shop.
Not for blowing my own trumpet but I am pleased with this sketch as I usually use more bold colours, so got to be one of my first pastel creations.

The ribbon I purchased from Bizzy Bec's just love it over an inch wide. Flower and kitchen charms from my stash. I thought this made a lovely scene so have entered A Spoon full of Sugar #77 - "Create a Scene".

I distressed all the papers doesn't show up too much in the photo, which qualified for Just Magnolias challenge - Distressing

I hand stitched around the edge using a pale pink embroidery thread, I know it isn't very straight but I don't have the fancy gadget, just a ruler. Which happens to fit in with Quixotic's Challenge #2 - Stitching, which could be a card, tag, altered item, etc. I am so pleased with the way the dresser came out I started to colour in browns but just knew it had to be purple. Added a few glasses to the dresser, using Special Effects. Had to go back to my SU markers with blender pen as I don't have pastel purple Copics or Touchmarkers for colouring in, but used touchmarkers for the hair.

The jars have homemade Blackberry Jelly and Raspberry Jam, (specially made by Granny), put speical effects on the jars, when I put everything together felt there was something missing so made my own little Magnolia picture. My sketch is the inside of the Kaisercraft recipe box I had in my head needed to be made (not my brightest of ideas). Took ages to paint (twice).
Put all the necessary paper on, then for the first time typed the sentiment on the computer (big smiles) I was going to put photos in the side frames, but just couldn't pick out four.
Anyway went to put the box together last night and guess what it would not go together, the tabs wouldn't fit in the holes etc etc. So had to go to work with me today and I filed all the tabs, then had to file the edges and still disapointed as it is not square (not my filing) so not too impressed with this kit project. Then I had to touch up the paint after dusting it down. Just love that blueberry and peachy paper.

Thanks for looking, happy crafting, take careX:)
